I know many here think Gaga will lose BA with Close just because Oscars have a debt with Glenn. I still think Gaga can win BA. That's it.

Yes, me too. I seriously think the split between Close and Colman could make Gaga the winner.

Probably the same thing happened to "Joanne" at the Grammys: I believe the votes split between Camila and Ariana, while Gaga silently stood out and won the award (with a non-single song that barely charted :ohwell:). Nobody expected that and well, it happened.

Glenn was good in The Wife but she's 71 and has been working as actress for decades! You can't compare.

What is that supposed to mean? She's shouldn't win because she's more experienced? :triggered:

You don't get the Oscar just because you do good with your first leading role; the best performance gets rewarded regardless. So, according to my reception of the movies, it should be like this: Glenn>Olivia>Melissa>Gaga (you can put Yalitza wherever you want)

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?

Melissa wasn't that great tbh. It's just that people are used to seeing her in comedic roles so you get the impression she did great.

I completely disagree. I get that we know her mostly for her comedic skills but she killed it in the movie. The only thing that's ruining her chances is that the movie is boring and nobody cares or cared about Lee Israel

No. Because her work in the movie is good but no GREAT considering all her experience. My opinion.

Arturo

Bruno going for his 16th Top 10 on the Hot 100, breaking his tie with Gaga for most Top 10's in the same time frame (Dec 2008 - present)
