I hadn't heard that theory, but it would make sense if true. But where are those numbers? What other sites are there realistically that could collectively garner her 500M US streams? Serious questions. Even if they did do this fraudulently though, it's not Gaga's fault - they certified a good number of songs with higher than expected certifications that day in May 2013 when they added streaming. The hardest thing for me to believe is that they didn't go back and fix it at least if they did mess it up like this, and even added an extra platinum certification to the song two years later.
