No because as I mentioned, the RIAA used a formula of 100 streams = 1 sale from May 2013 - January 2016, which is the timeframe both were certified. Because of this, their SPS is higher than what I listed, which I calculated at the current formula of 150 streams = 1 sale. There's just no way to know exactly what the real SPS is for them and others relesed before January 2016 because we don't know how much of their stream total happened before and after the RIAA shifted their formula. But also yes in a sense at least for Bad Romance because it was certified diamond in May 2013 when it had only sold around 5M pure, had about 500M YouTube views, and Spotify was just starting/no other streaming giant was present - implying that they used WW streams to get that number, which is extremely unprofessional on their end. That's the thing, there's really no way to know 100% for sure. At first, I thought the BB numbers couldn't have included video streams because as you see, that would put Bad Romance well below what it's certified. But then someone pointed out how looking at the numbers, it's very likely that when Bad Romance was given its diamond certification, it was under false pretenses since there's almost no way it could have had the number of US streams at the time to achieve it. Because of this, and because BB has in the recent past also included video streams in the umbrella statement "on-demand streams", it's likely that their streaming numbers this past weekend do include video streams.
