On topic: I don't think it's a huge offense (I'm not of Asian descent though) but it's probably one od the dumbest things a celebrity has done. You can't fix dumb, apologising was not needed lol Way to judge me for using a single word. Nice work. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

tomsches 17,436
I dont find it Offensive i just find it extremely annoying and tragic when people get a tattoo in a language that they dont speak and that they dont have any connection with whatsoever. A tattoo is supposed to be something that is very important personal and meaningful to you. She could have got "7 rings". Why does it have to be japanese? Like what Personal connection do you have with Japan?
uo111 5,265
6 pages of white people being offended.... because asian people were offended... because a pop star used their culture as decoration... and white people don’t see the irony.

NewYorkCity 10,536
I've been saying this a lot lately (more than I would like to) but freedom of speech is overrated and some people shouldn't use social media.

Dukttape 1,437
This thread is hilarious. So many people are so offended at the idea of people being offended. People claim they want "oversensitivity" left in 2018, but they get so up in arms over stuff like this. It goes both ways, bench.

I mean maybe to you and I but there are a lot of people who believe their body is a canvas for art. Who are we to decide that it has to be meaningful?
