Nobody said it was. Such conversations are able to exist in parallel, and are actually often correlated. The people who contribute to the conversation on racism and cultural appropriation are most likely a lot more involved in these other issues that you guys pretend to care about. I would think the offensive part of her tattooย comes from the fact that she basically mixed up Chinese with Japanese and then tried to say it was intended because it hurt too much. Her original tattoo says โ7 roundsโ or โ7 circlesโ in Chinese.. so it makes her statement come across as fake.
