gag 22,449
Thanks to a track record of years of hitmaking and what is said to be a strong backend provision in his deal, Singer’s final payday for the Freddy Mercury biopic is expected to exceed the $40 million range, two knowledgeable sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. Singer was fired from Rhapsody with only two weeks of shooting left on the movie for not showing up to set. Dexter Fletcher was then hired to complete the film with producer Graham King and others. But since Singer retained his director credit, he is likely in line to receive backend compensation. Sources say Fox, the studio that co-financed and released the movie, is exploring its legal options in terms of its financial obligations to Singer. But this is where it gets complicated. Backend could be forfeited if a director is fired for cause (studios reserve the right to fire over creative differences). Singer was indeed fired....but he retained credit, thus ensuring some sort of contingent compensation, according to top dealmakers who work with directors and producers. He’s looking to make a career-best $US10 million for his next movie, 'Red Sonja.' He will still direct “Red Sonja” despite new allegations of sexual misconduct against him, including accusations of sex with underage boys, contained in a report from The Atlantic published last week. Except the difference is that Gaga acknowledged her mistake and apologised, removing the song off of streaming platforms. Meanwhile, the studio and the cast has NOT ONCE apologised for working with Singer. Rather claiming that none of them knew about it and some (Brian May) even defended Singer. Plus, the studio pushed him for director awards during the campaign and is even expanding the movie following its Oscar nominations instead of pulling it from theatres (which would’ve been the equivalent thing to Gaga with DWUW). Your ignorance towards the situation doesn’t mean my outrage is false, it just means you’re uninformed. headspin, happiness, DE̤̣A̢̯͔̘T͏͙̗̟̫H̗̙͡ͅ

He did marry Aliyah when she was 15 in 1996 and had already paid off at least one sexual assault victim by then. Ryusei 61,110
see, this is why this movie should have been boycotted from the start, what a great tool for a pedo/predator to have 40 millions to his disposal to pay off people, silence people and live a great life outside of a jail cell, well done hollywood.
