If you're feeling down about ASIB losing all 4 of its SAG nominations tonight, I want you to remember:

:vegas: Gaga is still an Oscar-nominated actress. That is no easy feat. There are respected and seasoned actors who go their whole lives without ever being nominated for a single Oscar (Jamie Lee Curtis, Scarlett Johansson, Richard Gere, Meg Ryan, Jim Carrey, Danny Glover, Donald Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, John Goodman, Robin Wright) and our girl did it on her first try. She is also a BAFTA and SAG nominated actress -- don't ever forget that!

:vegas: Gaga was named Best Dressed on the SAG red carpet by many publications. Here, here, here, here, oh and here. The Queen of Fashion wins again!

:vegas: Gaga remains the undisputed front runner for Best Song at the Oscars, so she will still get her Oscar when all this is over. Someone keep an eye on Sam Smith for me.

:vegas: Gaga can still win a BAFTA for "Best Original Music". If she doesn't, I hope Brexit is long and painful.

:vegas: Gaga is still a front-runner for ROTY, SOTY, Pop Duo, and Visual Media Song at the Grammys. She could go from being a 6 time to a 10 time Grammy award winner in just two weeks. Think about that!

:vegas: The ASIB soundtrack can still slay at the 2020 Grammys. Mark your calendars!

:vegas: This is only the beginning of Gaga's acting career. As we know she is being approached by movie executives left and right. Film producers are jumping over her fence. Disney executives are climbing out of her pianos. At this rate, there will plenty more awards and acclaim in the future. ASIB was only a trailer of what's to come!

So brush off the clouds and cheer up, gays. Put on a happy face!

I still vividly remember watching the trailer for the very first time and being so completely bowled over, just ecstatically happy, excited, (relieved lol).  That's the feeling I'll always think of first when I think of ASIB and the era. :vegas:

The image in my head :sharon: . Imagine this happens in the middle of Enigma when she's sitting at the piano and wants to perform MR for the trillionth time :ladyhaha: .

OT: I just woke up to the news and honestly I couldn't care less that she didn't win. I mean, she already did THAT with these countless nominations some other, more experienced actors (experienced in terms of time they acted) can only dream of. Let's just celebrate that our generous queen snatched these nominations as if they were nothing :tony:  :diane: .

Ew, David!

I love this thread :diane: but I really hate how the media tried to make everyone believe ASIB was going to sweep during award season. At first the hype was cute but it got to a point where all the buzz was focused on ASIB and now everyone is surprised by these other amazing under-the-radar performances/movies that ended up winning.
