JustAnother 5,113 Posted January 21, 2019 Share Posted January 21, 2019 After last night’s show, I thought, “who performs 7 unreleased (cover) songs at a large concert and doesn’t release it asap?” And then I remembered. Gaga. At the Swine Fest, Gaga blue balled us all with 7 unreleased songs and then kept us waiting months to hear the studio versions. What exactly makes her think this is cute? She couldn’t just sing every C2C track in a solo version and call it a night We probably won’t hear most if any of those unreleased covers. That’s just not the point of the show. I want more studio jazz songs though, also, she could’ve definitely sung more released songs, she has plenty of solo ones (ETWSG, DLMBM, etc.) she didn’t perform and she couldn’t easily performed duets as solo songs like with Anything Goes. I mean, she did say she was gonna release a jazz album every year for the rest of her career so I guess I can’t blame you I also wouldn’t mind some new recordings, I just don’t think she should release a studio version of everything she sings live No one does that. If the shows do well she might work on a jazz project sooner though, I guess I just think she prefers performing jazz live with a band than to work on an album, personally, and I don’t blame her. That’s why I said I get one or two unreleased songs, but she performed almost a full album worth of unreleased covers. I personally prefer it that way. I like her best when she's being natural and doing something because she wants to and not thinking about making more money from it (which she could do with an album). I used to love it when she would perform on a talk show and would perform a track from her album and not the single she should be promoting. It made me love her more when she did that. Because that's what an artist should be doing. Jazz is such a freeing genre as well and is often made up on the spot because you're supposed to just feel the music and jam.
