It's one of the worst songs I've every heard. This whole site hates mumble rap but will praise anything released by a woman. This is obviously bias.

the chorus was kinda underwhelming but i love all the rest. This is how you do a sample properly. Nonetheless she'll slay the charts and radio once again with this. Can't wait for the album

I love it. Great, interesting instrumental (I don't mean the trap element, I mean the melodies in the instrumental), it sounds kinda sad and moody which I like. It's not your typical sexy party track. It feels sophisticated, feminine and strangely luxurious. So, yeah, great production.

Ari sounds great in the vocal department, the bridge is fantastic (she's been delivering with those bridges lately, my god), overall I feel like she's been releasing some serious quality for a pop chick. I like that she's staying away from stereotypical radio smash trends and is releasing stuff that is on trend but different enough to sound great years from now. She's found a way to add her little something extra to her songs that distinguish her from the rest of the pack :applause:

But yeah, the people who are stuck in the electropop phase of pop (which is loooong over) will obviously hate it and call it "basic" or whatever, which is a laugh. They don't get how difficult it is to write a great song like this. It's not just writing over an instrumental that already indicates the whole composition, it's really coming up with good vocal rhythms and melodies that will carry the whole song. Gaga never had to try that (not saying she's a bad songwriter, just sayin') and that's why she's not able to slay on the current market. She needs to transition like Bey did, from radio friendly easy listening to less instrumental-defined and more vocal-dominated compositions (and I don't mean great vocals, I mean a vocal melody that carries and defines the composition, not something like John Wayne which is basically unimaginative melodies written over an over-present instrumental).

Anyway, end of my rambling on. I think it's exciting, fresh and interesting and I think Ari's the pop chick to watch and I'm proud of her. Contrary to most people on GGD it seems, I'm definitely happy she's staying away from low effort radio tracks like Break Free or Love Me Harder, those were enjoyable but of such low musical quality that they felt stale and boring just a few weeks after release already. Ari's in it for the big game now and I'm excited to see what she'll do.

The song alone is bad but the video is plain awful. Ari trying to look sexy is pure cringe. She’s about as sexy as a twelve year old. Some pervert made her do this.

The fact that someone had to make a thread saying the song is good should give you a slight indication that it's lazy, trendy, unoriginal, and trash. (My opinion)

I love alot of Ari's work and Imagine (Live) shook me to my core. Her vocals :huntyga:

It just makes me sad that she's not applying her vocal ability and releasing something like this. She legit has one of the best voices of this new generation, and to see her waste it on a song like this REALLY makes me cringe. But it also reminds me that she's only 25. Think about what Gaga was releasing at 25 compared to this :reductive: Yes they are different artists but Ari's legend status is floating away if she continues this direction.

Vocal prowess is so overrated on this forum. Like, sorry, but vocal athletics are so not on trend anymore and Ari's smart for staying away from them. Showing off good vocals excessively is just not what the public wants anymore, they want interesting instrumentals and an overall convincing vibe more than listening to some singer giving it her all  Why do you think Xtina isn't able to get a hit anymore? People don't care about her high notes. That era of pop is over and done with.

I could care less what the public or mainstream wants. I'm talking about making an impact on the music industry that will be remembered for decades to come (Etta James, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand,  90s Mariah Carey, Cher, etc) Ari has that capability but unfortunately, for now she's showing she'd rather be trendy and sell records than continue to grow as an artist and lay down anything substantially memorable. (My opinion)

Legit ANY POP STAR could've made this song. It's basically a trap version of SNS by Demi.

I like the song, but not surprised people think it’s basic or bad. Some people are just too uptight.

:gayhat: oh well
