Ugh, I equally love and hate her Judy Garland/Old Hollywood-persona. The gasping, the almost crying with every word, the being overwhelmed. I want her to stop it and at the same time I live for it. She's been doing it for some years now, she also did it in the C2C-era.

If she is pretending as if she won an Oscar with every award she gets, I wonder how she's gonna be if she actually wins an Oscar.

something along this

There's always something kind of..cringe worthy about her answers. She always tries too hard to always say how it was her greatest dream, everyone said no blah blah, it's the greatest honor. Like @ Enigma, she always has to talk about how no one believed in her, 10 years later she's here tho. I wish she was more "real".

Absolutely agree with this and its part of the reason I only pay passive attention to actress gaga (interviews, press appearances, etc). I don't doubt her sincerity in being grateful or excited however through the entirety of her acting career shes always got this heavy affectation on when expressing herself. You can really tell the difference between when shes being down to earth and when shes acting down to earth. Not sure why she feels she has to be so animated, I'd much prefer to see whatever her raw emotions actually are. She does this at times during album cycles post-ARTPOP as well.

what i found REALLY weird was her laughing during some of the ASIB interviews, she never laughed like that before and it was more like she couldnt breathe properly while her face kinda did not what it does usually.

another weird behaviour

but the most herself she was in the talk with linn manuel miranda, wasnt she?

You know, I agree with you actually.

It's weird because throughout this era (and Joanne, too), she's being very adamant about 'self-discovery', 'finding herself' and 'delving deep' into her own truth... but you're right, I think she will look back and realise that she's becoming part of a system - which is what she so famously rebelled against.

She's totally lost herself in the land of Hollywood and awards.

A part of me think it's a great shame, but another part of me believes that she knows exactly what she is doing, and there's a calculativeness behind it all - which I hope is true.

I think she’s doing it on purpose to be liked by Hollywood. It’s disappointing for fans and Hollywood-haters to watch though. Gaga was supposed to be the wild one.
