Bolkins 4,125
I think she just gets too caught up in the way she’s projecting herself, its similar to a job interview I guess, you get too concerned with the way you’re coming across instead of actually having a normal conversation. Like that but x1000. Shes always been like that to some degree, her 2009 Jonathan Ross interview is a good example of how long it goes back. I think it’s a quirk I don’t see it as an issue, she’s done it for so long id think something was wrong with her she suddenly started answering things in a direct nonchalant way. Not the bore worms! Donatello 130
In retrospect, that 'throwback' interview is weird because the interviewer is awful. She combines multiple questions into one, asks each question as if they are the title to an academic paper - completely unsuitable for an interview format - and doesn't interject Gaga to develop her points. As soon as Gaga is one word into her answer, the interviewer's face has clearly moved on to ask the next question. It might as well be Gaga alone in that room talking to a mannequin. No idea how this bitch became an interviewer. Send her back to the canteen to be a dinner lady.

Sanne Godijn 2,203
The succes of a star is born is probably very overwhelming for gaga also she is a very emotional person
crisTEAne 21,059
i actually disagree. she is tremendously overwhelmed; she said it herself in the interview: she's being honored as a musician and as an actor, meaning that her greatest dreams were converging in that very moment. it must have felt unreal, even surreal, to her. now add to that her unusually reserved composure and the sadness in her eyes on the red carpet (probably arabella and things we are not aware of) prior to the actual moment of winning. her facial gestures are exaggerated, yes, but it doesn't come across as phony. at least not to me. if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back
Donatello 130
I think that a lot of interviewers are simply garbage, and nobody does as many promo interviews as Gaga, so when you have a sample size as big as that, you're bound to give poor ones due to amateur or unqualified interviewers. Instead of ducking out like JB or Rihanna, Gaga keeps it professional and gives them a full answer.

That one where one of the few existing clips shows Sawyer pulling a gleeful "I caught you out" face at one point? The one where Sawyer goes on to write two articles about the show in which she portrays Gaga as weird and then as a complete loony? The one that moved another reviewer to call Sawyer out on her disrespect? Yeah.

Ziggy 12,049
Ok all this aside, is “Enigma” becoming the new ARTPOP where it means essentially nothing? Because the way she used it made next to no sense

We can't be perfect all the time. I think her home is on the stage rather in interviews and being asked repetitive questions which will obviously lead to repetitive answers. This. Why don't you listen simply to what she repeatedly says as the pure and simple truth ? She gave up acting, her first choice of career, to become a singer. She simply wasn't good at auditioning. Her nose was too big, etc... As multi-talented artist, you have to make really hard choices to walk your way further in life. Being good at many things will always look suspicious in the business context. So, one day you stop trying, you give up multi-tasking and focus on one single string of your bow. You kiss your other dreams goodbye, process your grief and move on. After years of hard work to build her musical career, two people in the room, Ryan and Bradley, believed in her acting skills. Today she's awarded as Best Actress on a par with Glenn Close. What a reward for her hard work... as a singer ! All of a sudden her actor dreams become real ! Such a rollercoaster of emotions indeed. There's no easy way to act through it. When it happens, it just takes your breath away, that's all. Stop overanalyse ! Gaga can be sometimes so in control and other times so emotional. No middle ground. One of the many reasons I love that woman. And don't forget, she can still speak the truth with a piano background ! Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

She always tries too hard to always say how it was her greatest dream, everyone said no blah blah, it's the greatest honor. Like @ Enigma, she always has to talk about how no one believed in her, 10 years later she's here tho. I wish she was more "real". I get your point. But I think it's her reality... sadly. Phoebe Buffay 12,525
i've noticed this too. i always am kinda scared when i watch her latest interviews because i think at every moment she's gonna say something very cringey or act cringey. and plz girl stop with those grimaces. NewUsername 11,486
The other interviews of yesterday were normal. I think this particular one was a combination of her indeed being a little weird, the strange mic audio and her posture because of her dress being strapless, you could tell she didn't want to make too much gestures.
