It has a great soundtrack and some very fine performances but with only one word of spoken dialogue, it was no shock to see people not know what to think of it. We should solely focus on the Best Original Song, because that one will be the true snub if it doesn't win (assuming nomination is in the bag). Evita has a MC score of 45, and 2.)the Oscars were all about indies back in the 90s (people called it the "Miramax indie reign of terror" due to the Weinsteins having so much power at the time), its no surprise she had trouble going up against Frances, Kristen Scott Thomas, Brenda Blethlyn etc. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
