After tonights Golden Globes, the misogyny is real

No, this isn't about a man winning an award over a woman. I don't care about that. I don't even really care about awards in general. What I *DO* care about is the recent R Kelly documentary where people are piling on Lady Gaga for collaborating with a known rapist. (That by the way was acquitted of the charges against him when Gaga made the song with him, does that mean hes innocent? Of course not, but it certainly gets muddy and messy at that point.)

Bohemian Rhapsody was directed and produced by Bryan Singer, a WELL KNOWN RAPIST/PEDOPHILE. Where is the outrage that Rami took on the project completely aware of Bryan's past? Why do women CONSTANTLY get blamed for things men do? Why is Bryan still making movies, and why isn't Hollywood calling him out and putting an end to it?

Why are we still rewarding men for working for with actual trash, and when women do it we want ALL the answers possible?

Look how many times Jay Z collaborated with R Kelly and tell me that hes getting anywhere near as much scrutiny as Gaga:

Wish the media would acknowledge the double standard and treat everyone equally. It's frustrating!

Really didn’t know that about the BR director  :wtfga: Do you habe links or something to articles about him. I believe you, I am just interested. Especially about the fact that nobody did speak about that

because this is what the media does to get clicks & people talking, and unfortunately, people today do still contribute to this vicious cycle

I've heard pretty much the same stories about him. Sadly he is probably one of the few that have it known more so to the public. The rest we might never find out.

Seperate to that point though

What is kinda annoying about this whole thing is that people want to ruin all the hard work that was put into this film by writers, directors, producers, cast & crew etc.

And not to mention the legacy of a great musician that deserved to have this film made.

Yes in a perfect world such an allegedly evil person wouldn't have a hand in it. But in reality we directly or indirectly financially support so many awful things in life because unfortunately that's the way the system works and we try and pretend we are none the wiser.

I just hate to see so many people complain about the R. Kelly thing being something used in a smear campaign against Gaga and think trying to do the same for BR makes up for it. Two wrongs don't make a right here.

Edit - BTW this isn't @ you or anything. I just saw a ton of comments about it after the BR win and had to vent somewhere :toofunny:

There has been a lot of stories throughout the years. It’s suppose to be one of those everyone knows in Hollywood but nobody talks about it kind of thing. Just google Bryan Singer scandal. I don’t know how true some of them are but there is a general theme of essentially grooming young guys.
