This is her first movie and Glenn is a great actress. It’s not that surprising that she is losing in this category. Imagine an actress releasing a first album winning a Grammy over Gaga, that would sound weird too right? Yes, Gaga deserved it too, and who know, the Oscars might think different. Glenn isn't winning the Oscar but her snatching the Globe sort of like weakens Gaga's chances and helps increase Olivia Coleman's chances since she too won in the comedy / musical category for Best Actress and she too is nominated for the Oscar. I did expect Gaga though, especially since almost every expert bet was that Gaga takes it. And I think that’s why I am a bit sad, the chance was so high.
