Here's the thing people. There really isn't anything Gaga can do. If she speaks about it, people will bash her regardless. We live in a time where people are canceling others for the their past mistakes. So I prefer if she just let it go.

It's not good enough because it comes across as transparent. She was defending Kesha against dr.luke even though the court said he was innocent, why is it so hard to apologize for helping revive a pedophiles career? She had no issue calling out Dr.Luke but is silent on a man she gave a platform to.

you're absolutely right about the black community and it's issues with LGBT people but that isn't the issue here. I'd be more than happy to have that conversation with you should that day come.

When Gaga hears about polictal upset, she performs for it.

When Gaga hears about black and women’s issues, she makes a song.

When Gaga hears about LGBT issues, she makes an album.

When Gaga hears about sexual assaults survivors, she goes on a campaign.

When Gaga hears about bullying, she makes a foundation. 

 

She’s a bitch that cares.

 

I can’t fathom how these people just want her speak on it. Either you don’t know Gaga or your brain lacks inferencing (scary.)

She did not revived R Kelly's career. At the end of the day, the AA community is his biggest fanbase. In fact, you go on twitter and you only see black folks joking about how they like that one song from him. This is not Lady Gaga's fault. The adults around Aailyah failed her. Simple.

Reviving his career as in it was dying but she came in (one of the biggest pop stars) and put him on a super anticipated album. that gave that man relevance along with their performances. I want her to be held responsible for that. Not the other **** R.Kelly's done. It's the same thing this site loves to drag Nicki Minaj for. Hold these artist responsible for their actions.

And only bring it up (maybe) if one day she's asked what she thinks is the biggest mistake she's ever made.

It’s a little too late to talk about it tbh. The time to incorporate her mistakes into her talks about  sexual assault was a couple years ago with TIHTY. That’s when presumably she was doing the most searching within herself to come to terms with what happened to her. But while working on that song she completely missed the fact that everything she was feeling the girls that R. Kelly took advantage of were also feeling. I don’t think she’s ever made that connection herself. She became a part of the system that allows men to abuse women by helping revive that man’s career. Which would have only given him more influence and power to prey on young women.

And she was held responsible. And she got backlash. What exactly do you want her to do? Apologize? For what? So people can bash her even more and say she's canceled? There's nothing she can do.

Had it been years ago (like you said) would've made more sense. I agree. The time for her to apologize is a little too late. Now, if she were to collab again with another abuser, then she'll be truly over and there won't be nothing we can do about that.

She's being held responsible*. When enough people are asking you to speak up and you remain quiet, it looks shady.

Idk why it’s not obvious to you that people fight harder for what or who they care for, since I don’t see you or most black related social justice fighters advocating for poor whites in the slums.

Mrs. Clinton didn’t lie about stronger together. Delete the term white and black feminism, or be laughed out the room, bc pure feminism/BLM/gender issues are already heavily criticized enough- and with nearnone of that criticism being listened to, ala: “Shut up bigot! She could give you an answer (already did, called him the King or RnB, obv stan), but you’d just call it an excuse.
