But it’s hypocrisy to want to talk about sexual assault but ignore the fact that she helped anabuser in a big way. She gave R. Kelly one of the biggest boosts in the later part of his career. Perhaps we should be asking the system to apologize to his victims for not holding him responsible for his actions. why can't we hold everyone involved accountable? the system, R. Kelly's crew, Everyone who stood around while he abused these women and the MANY artists that have worked with him knowing what he's done. Everyone who's enabled this man to be where he's at right now.

hankhatesyouall 2,731
DWUW is still one the best songs in Gaga's entire career, and your 10 pages of whining won't change this fact.

It'd probably benefit you to read one of these ten pages.

Then that's it. If you don't want Gaga to be held responsible for this mess, then there's nothing to talk about. Apologizing won't change a thing. And you questioned before how it looks "shady" when we hold Gaga responsible. We have said for years that Gaga made a mistake by collaborating with him. Constantly, we have to speak about this. But I don't see NO ONE on twitter talking about Chance The Rapper (who goes around calling himself the Christian rapper or whatever). I don't see Jennifer Hudson's fan base having to constantly talk about her collaborating with him. Or Usher. Ashanti. Jay Z. T.I. Snoop Dogg. Mariah Carey. You don't even see me talking about poor black people in the slums so your point?? So her answer is that he's the king of rnb? if so then that would just further prove the suspicions people are having. kind of funny considering you've been going back and forward with me for the past hour. Maybe we could be gaming buddies since we both seem to have nothing better to do. Let me know! Lady Gaga is constantly tagged with millions of other things/other social issues too, so no. This isn’t a main issue. I don’t need her to speak on a million specific things bc it’s crystal clear where her moral compass stands: love, happiness and equality Point again is people fighting for what they care about. Reread my post bc I already explained it. And why are you saying that I would spend better time playing a game? It’s a public forum, I’m @ing everyone who has the same way of thinking you do. Sis if you’re implying that youre closed minded enough to not be worth debating with then that’s sad.gif. At least add a tagline to let others know. and cute offer but I have sleep and friends to hang out with before Xmas breaks ends. gnight
keith ink 1,482
She has widely spoken about rape culture and fought for the victims of it. She fought for gay rights, hell she shouted at the daamn president!!! She has lectured about mental and emotional health and has empathized for people who suffered like her. She has been trying to make the physical and cyberworld a better environment by spreading love, kindness and compassion. She has raised several serious social issues in the public eye and yet you trash her for choosing not to speak on this SINGLE, 5-year old acquaintance that she has had with R. Kelly You think youre too disappointed? Well why dont you put yourself in her shoes and feel the gravity of her actions. She might have had thought that voicing out on this one would probably damage the career she has spent years to re-establish. That hennies isnt the opposite of being empathatic, that is called "learning to take care of yourself" Tell me hennies, what have you actually done thatbhas benefited the public's welfare? What? When? Why? How? Who? Yup. Exactly. ZERO.

It'd be a slap in the face if I saw my abuser getting a platform to sing a song about doing what he wants with my body. But hey. Gaga can do Gaga. Love happiness and al' that. 4 minutes ago, Wigless said: And why are you saying that I would spend better time playing a game? Whispering 18,865
Where are the comments from Jay-Z, Celine Dion, Usher, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Pharrell, Ciara, Mary J Blige, Jennifer Hudson.....? Do these artists not care about black lives? In fact, where are the comments from anyone who has collaborated with Jay-Z, Mick Jagger, David Bowie? Does Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and Kendrick Lamar not care about black women? Where are the comments from the dozens of celebs and artists who worked with Richardson? How about Obama or Oprah...they worked with Richardson.
Dreary 52
At the end, must of us here are disappointed at Gaga since 2013 for her collab with R Kelly. The only "excuse'' or explanation I think Gaga would have for this whole mess is that as we all know, ARTPOP was Gaga's lowest point in her career and personal life. And she was in this rebellious phase where she was against pop culture and the press. And having someone like R Kelly, she and her team thought would be a great idea since he's been trashed by the media before. And that was the mistake. Because at the end of the day, he was being held responsible for the abuse he has caused. However, she hasn't done anything of the sort since then. She has brought awareness about sexual abuse after 2013. She did it on the biggest night in Hollywood. The Oscars. And she continues to work for her Born This Way foundation which also helps LGBTQ youth who have been sexually abused. I think Gaga has become a totally different woman today. And that, I know without an apology from her. But her actions after that episode in her life. And with that in mind, I would like to know how all these musicians who have worked with R Kelly are helping victims of sexual abuse.
