Have in mind countries like China are still in a development phase and so it's their countries. I can imagine an Europe-in-the-90s kind of progression for mainland China and even more for Taiwan or Singapore in 2030 China developping and being in the europe 90s kind progression (which I doubt maybe in the big Cities) doesn't change the fact that it is an opressive one party controlled state and I find your refrence to europe weird cuz Im pretty sure most off europe was democratic and free in the 90s Banned 04/19/2020 - 04/19/2020

Let's not talk about the increasing censorship of media and Internet and the degrading situation in Hong-Kong. Ex: (Happy) Happiness is a choice VS Happy birthday. 快乐是一个选择 VS 生日快乐. I notice that 快乐 remained the same. So do Chinese words only have 1 form? Like can we only depend on the context to know if it's a noun, verb, or an adjective? Many thanks

However, some words have different pronunciations when it comes to different POS. Take 长 for example. When it's used as a verb, it's pronounced as zhǎng (成长, grow up); while it's used as an adj., it should be pronounced as cháng (很长, very long). Dreams of you and me are in the dirt.
