Most of the ppls who said that Gaga did a great job pointed out how "she played her self", especially for the last 2-3 years since Gaga went a little bit less "Gaga" and more "Lady".

Now that the ENIGMA era is here, Gaga is weird again in the image of the GP and its such a great thing because they will point out how "different" she is from the ASIB character

Gaga reminding the world that she WAS and she IS STILL Gaga is the best thing she could do now to showcase the effort that she did to portray Ally

that's an interesting point, but I doubt the voters will go watch the crazy Gaga show or bother looking for bootleg recordings on youtube. I can't see it making any difference with the people that vote for awards... at best they will see a few photos and nothing more... Especially with the Academy, I can't see those older members flying to Vegas to see Enigma.

It's not like voters will go "She deserves an Oscar, but she's riding a robot, lets snub her" :rip:

Y'all are missing the point. Awards are only 30% about quality and 70% about hype and media perception. It doesn't matter if they're going to Vegas or not. As long as Gaga is well-perceived in the media, she's going to be well-perceived by voters.

His point is that Enigma show is a pure Gaga show, over the top and theatrical, therefore her acting as Ally is ASIB is even more impressive. She showed her versatility and ability to portray different a character than herself.

I get that, but people were exaggarating (**** will I ever spell this word right) to hell and back when they thought Enigma killed her chances at the Oscars because it's a Gaga show :selena:

They may not be flying to Vegas to see her, but the publicity she has received can't be ignored.  There have been articles in Rolling Stone, Vogue, People, even Good Morning America talked about it. Even if not explicitly stated, voters can see just how different she is from Ally.

I don’t see Vegas residence making difference on it since all human beings living this decade know that weird thing is part of her art since the beginning.

On the other hand, after all (from C2C to ASIB) her weirdness could be turned more appreciative artistically by these kind of people and GP IMO.

Oh She def had that in mind, She paid way too much attention to reinforce the idea of how shes difference from her character.

Its not just the Oscars but her overall narrative that is riding here.

Yep! And it’s a good thing. Now the GP will eat her up again. And Gaga remains to reinvent herself once again. I swear she’s the queen of reinventing herself.
