LordBy28 0
Sony Music Central has posted the latest catalog cover, but the link is not up yet. Probably tomorrow. Well, definitely tomorrow since that's the catalog release day. and after, SMC is frozen until Jan 2 so no updates until after. I did learn some things at work today though... Apparently, the single was supposed to debut at the Grammy's, but everything was pushed up because of security issues with Sony's db server. So out of pure fear that the single would leak, Christina's team pushed all promo up to very early next year. Though she will still bedoing some sort of promotion at the Grammy's and of course, on the Voice. Chances are (and the catalog will confirm this) the single will be hit the net and become available on iTunes the next day.via Martian Leaks on Twitter. https://twitter.com/#!/HalfMartian I'm so confused with people right now, as they keep stating different things. But I do know KIIS said people were voting a-lot for it tonight..so hopefully it's played for tonight. Btw MTN is #8 right now.. Apparently, this is what an ATRL member said: They did it before with Born This Way and that song got a huge premiere. KIIS FM and other major radio stations have already been sent the song when RCA previewed it to radio programmers. Julie Pilat, who is the radio programmer for KIIS FM, said she heard the song and LOVED it. She controls what gets played on KIIS. The tweet was from her directing fans to start voting! They won't play it until the Label gives the green light to do so. But this will definitely show how much hype people have for Christina's return. VOTE!!! toanythingtaboo 5
I'm worried the new single end up being generic, I don't want her to become like Katy Perry, generic mainstream **** just to sell records, she has too much talent for this Isn't that the way she's always been though? She's never been much of an "artist" per se... she's just known as a voice. Well, no, not really. She may be known for just her voice, but she's a pretty underrated artist that contributes heavily to her music (I believe she's co-written everything post-debut). She's definitely more on the "artist" side of things than the likes of Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy etc. Plus, Stripped is genuinely one of the best pop albums I've heard from any of the pop b---hes...Gaga and Madonna included. With Stripped and Back To Basics she set herself up as someone who would zag when others zig'd, because neither were on trend per say. Bionic would have followed the same route had it not been meddled with and left in its original state. It's a shame that Bionic seems to have re-written history and that now it's commonly accepted (online, anyway) that Christina was just always "a bit ****" as a result. Guess it's a generational thing too, a lot of the folk dragging Christina weren't old enough to experience her dominance circa Stripped and the love she got for B2B because she takes so ****ing long with her albums and breaks. MattyMonster 3
So when is it coming out?
toanythingtaboo 5
As for the "generic" worry, I have a bit of concern over that, but I think Christina is too headstrong to let that happen. She wont let herself be an autotuned clone.

StrawberryBlond 14,443
I too, am worried that this album is going to be too generic. We've heard no word on what direction and theme she's going for. As far as Stripped, B2B and Bionic were concerned, we knew what type of music she was going to make 1 or 2 years in advance. All we know about this upcoming album is that Christina announced its progress seven months ago, Max Martin is contributing to the songs and the lead single's name. Absolutely no other information. In that case, if nobody knows what she's planning, how is she going to market this so it's successful? Is it going to be like Bionic, but more radio friendly, seeing as her dress sense hasn't changed since Bionic? Is it going to be a completely different direction? (there were rumours she said she wanted to do a rock album now). It's the Max Martin bit that really worries me. He's famous for making generic pop tunes that are just designed to go to #1. Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of the singles he's produced but I don't want Christina singing stuff like that because it just isn't her. Her label wants to make absolutely sure she doesn't flop this time, which is why she got featured on a Maroon 5 song, releasing this album two years after Bionic instead of her usual four years, and enlisting the help of Max Martin, who has the ability to turn any popstar's singles into gold. This really sounds like what I call a band-aid or a rebound album. You know, the kind of album that's made to recover from the flop of the last one, normally written in a year and isn't written with any passion, but is just a hit single machine. When an album flops as hard as Bionic, the label usually takes control, hires all the latest songwriters and usually, it means the artist barely writes any of the songs.as they can't be trusted to write a hit anymore. It would be really depressing to see a Christina album that she only wrote a few songs on.
whiskey_mouth 0
Isn't William Orbit supposed to be a producer? Maybe if not for all of it, but that can't be bad...his solo work and work on Madonna's Ray of Light is very good and mature. I have faith it won't be too generic, because as Tooanythingtaboo said, she's definitely more the credible pop star, and her commercial peak was also her critical peak, so I think they'd try to replicate Stripped if anything. (Background: during Britney Vs Xtina in 1999 I was 100% team Xtina and was a big stan from Stripped until B2B...I eventually faded from pop music and am more team Britney now, but she still has a special place in my heart) Edited December 29, 2011 by whiskey_mouth

They don't, I was merely giving an example to people who might not know who he is...his recent solo work is pretty good and a bit funkier than before. Gia 39
SonyMusicCentral SME/NRB Catalog 13112 - Christina Aguilera, "Love Your Body," UPC - 88697809902 - via RCA Records Label - The CD single for "Love Your Body" has the three tracks so that means there are two versions. Probably an explicit version. - There's no sell sheet for Christina in the catalog, just the order # for the single, which means they plan on releasing it online first. - Possible Premiere Dates: New Year's Eve - Possible Official Release Dates: New Years' Eve - Rumoured Producer: Max Martin Sounds like good news to me so far.
