I can really feel her emotions towards the song. Xtina is still our voice of generation... she didn't sound to good and she looked even worse tbh.. Mills 446 Posted January 27, 2013 Author Share Posted January 27, 2013 For me, I think it would be for her own benefit if Christina Aguilera would somehow take a break from the music industry, well at least for now, after her last two albums badly tanked in the charts. In that way, she would be able to regroup herself and just discern what would be best for her, either a change of musical direction or change of team. After all the achievements she has done in the industry, I believe she no longer needs to compete with today's pop stars anyway. I'm still rooting for Christina to have her own "We Belong Together" moment. Back then, everyone in the industry thought Mariah Carey's career was over due to the string of professional and personal struggles she had by the start of the 2000s, from the poor reception of her movie, Glitter, to being bought out of her lucrative recording contract, and then the infamous emotional breakdown... until by 2005, "We Belong Together" was released and it brought Mariah back to the top of the charts. It was even named by Billboard as the "Song of the Decade", spending 14 weeks atop the HOT 100 chart. This just proves that nothing is really impossible in the music industry. I think she needs to go back to step one and decide what kind of music people want from her. She's not a Gaga that can take a chance and create what she thinks is the direction for music and then still success! Because Christina Aguilera says "I don't want to work with Max Martin cause it might sound generic" but to be honest his work is MUCH better than hers. Your Body and LTBL are the two strongest tracks on the album and she didn't even try to promote them! It's a shame since I love Christina Aguilera, her voice is just.. breathtaking But she has to do something about it. She's not over, she've just played the wrong game! Not as good as Bionic, which had a lot of weird personality and sonic diversity. I found none of the song really standing out besides Your Body and the duets with fellow Voice judges.
