While she's no Gaga or Beyoncé, her vocals on the Witness The Tour were HONESTLY good, not out of this world sure, but it was very pleasant listening to her (and I was very afraid of what to expect after all the haters here had to say about that), and while she's no Gaga, or "goddess" figure like Beyoncé, she was SO fun! Really, the whole experience changed my perception of Katy as a performer and a person! So yeah, I don't think she sucks so much she "HAS TO" have flawless production, it's just that she does. While Gaga used to be one of the most exciting productions stage wise, she’s really been eclipsed by way more impressive shows. Honestly ignore it if it's coming to the point you're thinking about it so much when expressing your view. Someone can talk crap about your comment and it will not be a huge deal don't worry. Kim K, Grimes, and many more have also worked with Eli. I don’t think it’s fair to say he has no talent when imo he has a photographic perspective unlike most others. Even if you don’t like it, which is fair as it’s purposefully grotesque, I don’t think Eli is a great example of hiring a friend lolol I’d say having Tara around as long as she did was obvious evidence of that. Oi. OT: Gaga does better with simpler stage setups. TMB 1.0 and 2.0 were very simple by all accounts but work because they serve Gaga's creativity and allow *her* to shine. Katy’s productions are large spectacles but without a great deal of focus which works for her. Look at TMB 2.0 and what is there? Two vertical structures on a stage? It’s not complicated. Gaga is better with a simpler design that gives her leeway for her improvisations. Even the BTWB castle had a lot going on but at its core was essentially a bunch of stairs (no shade). From an aesthetic standpoint it was grand but functionally it was quite simple and that works for Gaga. This doesn't make much sense because Eli isn't her friend and they hadn't known each other before they started working together. Also Eli is amazing. Teenage Dream was fantastic! I find it odd that we need to say who is better at this and that. I'm a Gaga fan. I'm a Katy fan. I feel lucky to have 2 great women that give me such enjoyment.
