Enigma's production was top-notch. Yet i don't see anyone praising it :hor:

That's because these people only enjoy

Enigma was a great show thanks to Gaga stage presence and ofc flawless vocals. The visuals were amazing too, but the production overall (from the stage to the lightning) is actually quite boring imo.

I was expecting more. I've been watchinh 4k videos all day now, and as I always start pretty hyped up, the lack of props*, of a beatiful stage (imo) and of decent lighting really turn me off.

Luckily enough, we've got Gaga stage presence and vocals, and NO one can compare :vegas:

*of well used props. Like, that freakin robot is amazing as the floting egg chair but I feel like they're a little bit thrown away too soon

I disagree.

For a theatre production, this is LEAGUES ahead. She brought a stadium production into a theatre.

The stage is interesting, because it creates two levels, and resembles an alien planet's mountains rather vaguely, but it is also to a degree transparent, so lighting and the visuals behind can be shone through, which is a nice touch.

The lighting is quite decent, nothing groundbreaking but the pyrotechnics are awesome. Especially during the industrial part. It looked gritty and metal'ish and burning.

The props, however, there was only 1 big one. I guess Gaga doesnt really want to use props tbh?

But compared to other theatre productions, this is out of the world. You can check out Bruno's residency, Britney's or any other popstars' theatre productions. The stage is so small but they made it look quite large imo.

Honestly I've always kinda wanted to like the Prismatic tour because it looks well put together, I just can never get through it because I hate most of the songs.

Agreed.

The songs need to be refreshed and the lighting needs more intent not just being everywhere sporadically.

At the very least she can stop repeating “hands up” every 5 seconds :laughga:

I did go for the Prism tour, paid $35 for the ticket just to check out and it was very fun. Im not a fan but her stage looked expensive as ****.

Everything on op is tea tbh

I attended Witness Tour and it was marvelous, so eye-catching and entertaining, I love how they remixed the old songs, makes them feel fresh

... and now i just sit in silence.

Sometimes I feel like Gaga is too controlling to get outside opinion or help on various aspects of her career. She seems a bit like a know it all and I think she is a control freak to a degree. Sometimes I feel like she does this to show she has the talent to do it all but in reality, I think it is even more impactful when someone can manage a whole team to create new ideas which combine with their own ideas to create something truly outstanding. I think Gaga is one end of the spectrum.

Katy is on the opposite end where it doesn't seem like she contributes a lot but rather, has a massive production team to think of all her ideas and how to execute them.

I think someone who had a great balance of this is Madonna. I know its random to bring her in this thread but I really do think Katy's production is better is because she has a team behind it yet it lacks substance. Gaga's production is really good but not as polished or picture perfect as Katy's. What it does have is substance and a sense of authenticity. Madonna though has a bit of both and I think that made her extremely popular and artistic at the same time + respected in the industry. She was a control freak but she knew how to use the strengths of the people around her to create massive pop productions that had some artistic value to them.

Her main problem is that she hires her friends instead of professional artists. Not always, but mostly.

Her Enigma tour posters are such an amazing work thanks to Inez but I'm 100% sure that lg6 cover will be ugly mess made by this Eli guy which has 0 talent. You can hate me for that words but I just finished doing some research and there isn't any picture which I like. Of course Gaga summer insta photos are hot but nothing special.

Back in the day she used to work with the biggest names like Steven Klein, Francis Lawrence or David La Chapelle for her videos and photoshoots. Her shows was perfect (MBT BTWB) her performances was on the top...

That's why her shows are kinda low quality. I like Enigma but I don't LOVE it. She just need to work with great artists again

EDIT: I WILL NEVER STOP supporting this bitch anyway. She can do a show with a playback britney spears tribute and I will still pay all my $ <\3

I couldn't agree more. This is her issue. Why did Beyonce stop working with her father?

She needs to work with professionals literally. I'd rather work with people who I don't know but can make the best out of me rather than working my close friends but I can't achieve my full potential.

And being around yes ma'am people is toxic, you can't see your flaws and think everything is top notch. But in reality it isn't.

I love Gaga but she needs to wake up.

It is undeniable that Lady Gaga is in every aspect a better artist than Katy Perry (no shade just tea)

I have just been noticing recently what an amazing team Katy Perry has in her productions, especially her tours/live performances, i actually wouldn’t consider myself a person who likes Katy Perry music overall but I have seen some perfomances of her tours and they are total eye candy, and it actually gets you into the music even if you are not really into it and makes the show atractive for non-fans.

and I can’t help it but find it ironic because I believe that Gaga has a much higher budget for her shows, but Katy’s team just seems to do a much better job, all the visuals are really appealing and make a lot of sense, and her shows are always a spectacle

Gaga shines on stage because of her talent and energy but do you think her production is the best among popstar shows?

here some examples:

now, for those who point out how good Enigma production is.... I lowkey agree, in some parts of the concert, but in almost half of the show it just looks like random lights and lasers in the stage, and that happens in every tour and concert where Gaga has performed so far

I went to the Witness tour and deadass she had some of best stage productions I’ve seen ever........

I know you're going to get dragged to hell and back for posting this, but I 100% agree. I went to the Witness The Tour, and while Katy isn't near Gaga AT ALL in term of vocals or stage presence, her production is flawless. I was in awe the whole time. Such a joyful time :flutter:
But again, it's not like Gaga's tours sucks or anything! It's just different!

You just answered yourself.

Her production HAS TO BE flawless because of her lack of stage presence and vocals.

I'll always prefer and great show in terms of talent with a moderate quality in stage production.

Yeah Katy knows how to put on a production and her tours are always a blast. She knows she isn't the best singer in the game but she is still a great performer and uses her strengths.

Prismatic Tour was just...mind blowing.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
