I know this is controversial but I think Beyoncé has the best production value when it comes to stages. They are super simple and minimal but her last 2 tours blew my mind cuz as simple as they were, the worked AMAZING, the stage looked huge and clean and you only focus on Bey and her dancers, no props needed.

Now, I agree that Katy's production value is underrated, she knows how to put on a show and she needs to be more respected as a performer. Also, I love how Katy re-arrenged her hits on Witness The Tour, something Gaga should do cuz I'm tired of ALWAYS hearing the same + she's always cutting the same songs and then throws them away.

The Big Box was very clean I see your point.

On one hand, Katy Perry needs that big production because otherwise her lack of everything else shows up (stage presence, vocals).

On the other hand, Gaga could have everything, and yet I agree, her productions have been subpar to what you expect for years now. It's like it had the right direction, but then someone got lazy to go all the way.

Sure, even if Gaga has more input in her work, while Katy is pretty much controlled by her creative team... Doesn't that say that maybe Gaga is not as creative as everybody claims? I've always felt that Gaga's fame as an immensely creative artist is far bigger then the actual work she puts out.

Gaga is more deeply involved to the point that she may hinder the true potential of a well-paid team. That being said, I'm sure people on Gaga's team feel much more connected to what they make and its purpose than many for other artists. It's just a different approach.

I guess I agree, but Gaga’s stage designs are unmatched and innovative - something most of the others don’t have. Nothing aill top the castle from BTWBall, artRAVE had those amazing lucite transparent walkways and the lasershow in Jewelz N Drugz and Telephone just ****ing insane (especially from a distance)... Enigma and this robot, in Vegas, is just revolutionary for residencies and she’ll change the game for Vegas. Celine and Britney may have paved the way, but I have no doubt Gaga will change Vegas. Give it 5 years and many of the popular stars will have performed residencies at Vegas.

People on her team are too comfortable with their position, at least from the outside looking in.

It's like government work. Do enough & you can't be fired.

Katy Perry has far less talent (no shade) and is more dependent on these types of props/production. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it is an explanation.

I don't want those particular examples in Gaga's shows, but I do agree that LG could improve on that front.

Yeah Gaga carries her shows with raw talent but her live show productions are not top tier imo. Katy's team trumps in that aspect.

I think Gaga is creative in her own right but works better when she has someone that can interpret her vision clearly and cohesively. She and Matthew Williams made an incredible team. I wish they hadn’t had a falling out.

Agree, her production is absolutely amazing, but I watched the tour in full before and Katy's lack of stage presence really makes her disappear behind all this production & props ;). So it's not always good for the artist. She's at her best as a performer during accoustic sets with just a guitar

Are we even watching the same thing? :bye: From the clips of Enigma that i saw, it’s wayyyyy beyond Katy’s Witness Tour.

Everything about Enigma from the staging to light design  and pyrotechnics is superior to Katy in every way.

What Gaga needs to aspire to is Madonna’s shows.

Katy has a flawless production team, but sometimes y'all act as if Gaga has subpar production teams :ladyhaha:

Enigma's production was top-notch. Yet i don't see anyone praising it :hor:
