I feel like it‘s marketing. She probably is told to not mention her, to hold comparisons small, and avoid this „Is Kesha/Natalia/Porcelain/Jeffree/etc. a Gaga clone?“ narrative that has yet to not hinder anyone, because it does seem like she totally is avoiding anything relating her to Gaga? 

And the Gaga comparison tends to leave a mark on most people’s career. Even people who were there long before her. It literally almost killed Christina’s Career.

She seems likable but she has nothing to do with Gaga. Really. I can’t see any similarities!

I'd join  I find this girl interesting in such an odd way. She's the first popgirl I am seeing a spark in even though I'm not the biggest fan of Sweet But Psycho (tho it is enjoyable enough). I hope she taps into a darker pop sound with her next singles. She certainly has the aesthetic to pull that off.

Also anyone else noticed through her other interviews how she gives long winded explanations trying to get deep meanings out of simple lyrics just like Gaga did especially early into her career  I swear the similarities are really uncanny lol even personality wise

This. It's too soon for her to mention Gaga. It would literally be a Ariana & Mariah situation all over again. She needs to build a career first and then she will probably start blatantly mentioning Gaga as one of her major influences hopefully.  For now she needs to play it smart and just mntion her rarely I guess.

I remember almost everyone who came up after her from 2009 onwards got the “Gaga Copycat” stamp. And it is so hard to break out of things like that. Also everyone of the major pop stars from that time was at one point accused of taking notes from Gaga and trying to be more like her, I mean, even Sharon Needles’ win on Drag Race people partly gave Gaga credit for. Gaga was MAJOR back in the day. The whole pop sphere centered around her for a certain period it seems like and she is on top of her Game right now. As a marketing manager and a label exec I would try to keep these two as distant as possible, because of the similarities, Gaga never quite got the “New Madonna” thing off her resume, and there are many examples for that in the pop sphere. The focus is to establish Ava as an artist, especially since there are many similarities between their marketing tactics and musical and artistic styles.

Same lol I think it's just coincidence. She's just a very similar woman to Gaga somehow and I am shocked. They look a like, sound a like when they speak, seem to have a few similar personality traits etc.. it's insane and I sort of like it lol

Definitely, agree. I'm curious if Ava will ever one day react to the comparisons

This. Her mysterious vibe is captivating and I can't put my finger on what or who she is and what her art is just yet. She's fascinating in such a organic way. That being said in order for her to preserve her mysterious element I think she needs to stop doing these quick little features she's been doing. I enjoyed her vocal delivery in Make Up with Jason Derulo BUT that is not the type of songs I want her to do right now. I hope she caters to this effortless mystery she possesses and does not waste it away like that by exposing herself too much via random collabs.

I like her song but I don't get how she's mysterious, she seems pretty down to earth. Is it because she has wonky hair?

There's a Twitter account called "Ava Max Access" and their pinned tweet is a thread and in the thread, there are some unreleased snippets that are darker than SBP. Blood Sweat Tears is said to be the next single and I'm guessing Angel becomes a single further down the line.
