I was part of those asking her to return the theatrical Gaga and I'm impressed by her show ! 

Of course few adjustments are needed, but I have no worry, she's back full force imo

I think the answer is already in your text.

Cause the props and outfitd dont do anything to help but only hinther. The same with the choreos . 

The problem is that you really dont get much of her. She didnt made enough herself the star of the show. Its her using a gimmick not we wanting more. And its not good, this show is a bit Juvenile. 

If She didnt had enough time to prepare all this, perhaps maybe a simpler thing that really highlights some aspects with lights etc. Its missing proper drama and the stage is so poorly used

Its not negative. Its an obvious reaction of a really medíocre overpriced show. In a city full of entertainent, that One is a let down

THIS. PERIODT! She's done sO much for us, I just want her to know how much I appreciate her, and how much I know we all do. Our love for her is just disguised underneath our negativity because we care, we want everything to be the epitome of perfection. Learning not to be too attached whether or not she'll release something, whether it'll be dark and like TFM 2.0, whether she'll recognize ARTPOP etc etc. Obviously it's unrealistic to suck up everything Gaga does and be a fan of it, without seeing the flaws. But to the extent of which we're at now, where the flaws are highlighted above all else, is just wrong imo.  

Everyone should take a nap, just like another thread on here said, and yes it does work, and look at it with news eyes, excluding the expectations of a new single etc.

The wigs and the outfits are the only things that truly suck. The choreography is messy at points, but she's energetic so it works. 

Also, I think it depends on the angle. Some of the close-up shots seem messy (like the choreography at the start of Dance in the Dark) but from a distance where you can see the whole stage it looks pretty cool. I would love to see a professionally recorded version of the show.

The whole hostility is created by people who can’t fathom the idea of other people having differing opinions, different needs, cravings or expectations. “Negative” members are discussing Lady Gaga’s output, while others are making threads and posting dramatic comments about said “negative” members in a passive aggressive and sometimes rather hostile fashion. 

Voicing your criticism won’t harm your idol, painting them as a victim however, will. I’ve perceived Gaga absorbing the latter for years now.

Edit: Also, it doesn’t matter if Gaga did this or that or had that and this, some people focus on execution.

Exactly. People focus too much on the flaws. And yes sleeping on it and seeing it with new eyes definitely helps.

Am I the only person who doesn’t have a strong enough opinion either way yet? 

The setlist is good, some of the outfits look killer but some don’t, some of the choreo is great but some of it is kind of bad and sometimes the stage looks great and other times it’s empty for some reason?

I feel like I need to see more shows and angles before forming a strong opinion.  I can’t passionatly defend it or really critique it yet

I think some of you needs to give Gaga a few more shows with this residency and then create an opinion because this was only the first night, things will surely change after some dates. But in my opinion I thought it was great (minus some outfits and probably some songs being there)

I don't get how this is the case though. I'm not asking for more money or more technical splendour, I just miss good ideas Having a robot isn't necessarily a good idea if you don't execute it properly. That's just my personal opinion. She can have all the money in the world and still deliver a show that I think is not up to her performance standards

If that makes me deluded, ok. I just think it makes me a tough and demanding critic. I think many of Gaga's peers are doing more exciting stuff with stage design and live theatrics. So for me it's entirely logical why I'm not impressed. I'm happy you're enjoying it though, I'm not crying or super angry here. It's just a meh moment. Don't let that ruin your fun train.

My only negative reaction? The reminder that the good majority of Gaga's "good work" is from 8+ years ago. Like she only does shallow, applause, and million reasons as songs from the past couple of years?
