Rearranging Shallow

I was listening and truly studying this song last night and I absolutely love it and understand the choice to build it the way they did. But it does feel like there should be something else to tie together the ending.

Still, it's a gorgeous piece and the vocals are amazing.

Letting Gaga command and overpower 2/3 of the song makes perfect sense to me.

Well with a song like this, no matter who sings it first wouldn't sing it as big as Gaga sings it. He would just sing it down an octave which is right in his range, it's where he sings the majority of the song. Just with more energy.

The reason why I'm wanting to rearrange it and restructure it is for my own enjoyment and practice. I arrange music for a living so working on something like this on a song that I already love is easy and fun for me. It's not my favorite song in the world and for me it is because of the odd structure - it feels unfinished and unbalanced. It's not a bad song, and I understand why they did it to emphasize that it was written quickly and that it was Ally coming into her own in that moment, but I just didn't really like how they went about it - hence me rearranging it for my own pleasure.
