Economy 53,072
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/502967/ While the number of people living to 100 and beyond is ever rising, the oldest people are living to about the same even tho there's many more of them For decades now the oldest person on earth at any time tends to be 113 to 115 years old. While once in a while someone makes it to 116 or 117 (The oldest person ever lived to 122 but that was over 2 decades ago) in general 115 is where it ends In fact the list of people who have lived to 115 is quite extensive. But People who passed 115 by even 1 year (116) the list suddenly shrinks significantly What you have is more and more supercentnarians (someone 110 or older) and you'd expect that with a bigger pool more people would be getting older but hardly anyone ever passes 115 Some scientists think DNA accomulated damage and shrinking telemers put 115 as the absolute max age people can live with a very rare few with exceptional genes that pass it even further This may explain why more and more people are living longer but the oldest people are not living longer. ATM Japanese man Nonaka of 113 years is the oldest verified person on earth

Economy 53,072
I think if the average person is living longer with better medicine and nutrition and more ppl live to extremely old ages, but the oldest people (115) aren't living longer that suggests a real biological limit We need a way to slow aging itself now to increase life expectancy much further

Up until 100 her mind was fully there. Now just 1 year later she can't hold a conversation or remember who anyone is. She can't remember who I am. She deteriorated so fast

Shipper 13,114
I DO NOT WANT to get as old as that. I want to die around 85 when I'm alert and I still can walk and not drink a million medicine a day. Society cannot sustain so many old people living longer and I would gladly fall in line for a shorter and sweeter life-span. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶

I have a potential way that I will patent when I figure out how realistic it is The problem is medicine helps manage conditions, health issues etc so what it does is prevent premature deaths But more and more people are already dying of old age (not everyone's genes allow over 100 so for some people dying of old age at 85 doesn't mean they weren't healthy) This is part of the reason I think life expectancy is not going up as fast as it was because if ppl already die of old age, there's not much more meds can do The only way to expand life much further now is to help our DNA at the cellular level rejuvenate which of course will take many years of research The fact that for so long now the oldest people are not getting older tells you there's a limit there (around 115) that meds cant do anything about It used to be that the world only had a handful of people over 110 and a few lived to 115 Now there's countless over 110 and the oldest still generally live to 115. If there wasn't a limit the oldest should be living longer with a bigger pool but they aren't
