no, this is overdramatic, I'd rather say f**k 'woke twitter'.

I don't know why women like Gaga should always get **** because of what men does. It's not her fault R.Kelly acted that way.
That song shows how she was feeling at that time and came from her heart.
Literally no ones in the GP knows about R. Kelly, she is gonna erase that song because of oversensitive people blaming her (having always supported sexual assault victims) instead of the rapist

THIS is f**ked up, not the song

While I'm not saying that some people on twitter are not to blame for bringing this up to her again and again, the song also got her through a lot of **** (I'm not going to explain all the wrong things with it like r kelly, the performances and so on)

The song is about Gaga calling out the media for always misrepresenting her. It's about her surrendering the control of her public image to the press but still staying true to herself and moving forward. This is still very true for her i believe  :triggered:

I really don't think the song harmed her that much. The era was mainly dead because of her emotional state, and the fact that all her team just left her all alone.

Around me, everyone remember DWUW as one of their favourite Gaga songs, period. No one knows about the (non-)video

That's the good part of it, now look at the bad parts (R Kelly, the AMAs performance, the video etc)

Most people that i know don't like the Christina version and love the R. Kelly version because it's objectively better. If R. Kelly wouldn't be such a disgustingly evil human being more people would defend the song.

This song still harmed Gaga the most. Gaga had some problems in 2013 after her injury and the whole thing with her stuff that left her. Something triggered her back then

DWUW is the defining song of the ARTPOP era while Judas is a fan favorite that nobody else knows about.

The song is still part of her artistic legacy and canceling it because some petty people try to be woker than a literal survivor of rape, who has done everything in her power after the fact to get away from R. Kelly, is just not a flattering look for her. I still believe that she believes in what she said in the song because she's very mute about everything  else in her career.

DWUW is Gaga's 4th best charting song on kworb, after Shallow, ARUTW and INLA

If you aks the press it is DWUW which is also the song that is subject of at least two large debates every year. Applause survives in the public conscious of the people that were there at that time as THE defining song of course but DWUW isn't allowed to die peacefully because of R. Kellys refusal to go away from the public eye. As long as DWUW is the only ARTPOP song that gets a wide media coverage every year it stays as the defining song pf the era for better or worse.
