Radios can make or break hits nowadays, and it's really not ok imo :madge:

Imagine when iTunes and Streaming did not exist :saladga:
Now they can make or break hits but years before they did that but for ARTISTS

I see your point, but just because it's better does not mean it's good by any means, we still have a long way to go :saladga:

Really? I'm happy for Halsey, but this is an example of why Radios are so important in the US, without radio support this song would've been over a long time ago, and if Shallow had this support, it would have been really possible for it go #1 :madge:

Without Me isn't a radio-driven hit, tho.

US radio

3. Without Me - 118M AI
5. thank u, next - 112M AI

US Spotify

5. thank u, next - 1,155,461
9. Without Me - 1,002,073

US Youtube

4. thank u, next - 1,510,052
8. Without Me - 1,222,936

the difference in streams is quite small. It's actually quite embarrassing for thank u,next to already be at barely 1M daily in the US considering the video broke so many records.

For me it is. You can't deny that it only managed to do good numbers on spotify and itunes after it started playing a lot on the radios :interestinga:

Be4 radios   it was doing worse than shallow :ohwell:

False.

Without Me started smashing on Spotify from the very beginning.

It was released on Oct 4th, this is the chart for Oct 5th :

https://spotifycharts.com/regional/us/daily/2018-10-05

8. Without Me by Halsey - 1,270,168

it literally took only a few days to stabilise at 1M daily in the US and it's been doing those numbers ever since.

Also it debuted at #18 on the Hot 100 compared to Shallow's #28 debut :ohwell:

Yh ok, ur right about spotify sorry :huntyga:

But it doesn't mean I'm wrong though, cuz Shallow debuted at #28 but it got to #5 based on sales and streaming.

Without me debuted in the top 10 of itunes, and it quickly left, it only got back and stabilized after stadios started picking it up.

Look, I'm not saying WM isn't a hit, it totally is, what I meant is, without radios it wouldn't grow organically, it would be over quite sooner, just like shallow was, got it? If radios had picked up on Shallow, Shallow would be a organic hit too, what I'm upset about is how much power radios still have in determining what is and what isn't a hit :interestinga:
