Oh ok just West Jerusalem right? Not all of Jerusalem? It makes sense to split it in two. What is completely wrong is what Israel has been claiming recently that ALL of Jerusalem should be their capital.

Hunn, Palestinians have been rejecting partition plans since day 1. Infact, they were declining generous Israeli offers that included parts of Jerusalem in all latest stages of what has been called “peace process” and is now dead & gone, so  @Woolfsmck was completely right.

Nation-state law is unnecessary & was purely accepted by Netanyahu’s government to attract and satisfy its right wing voters. Polls from last year shows 48% of Jewish population in Israel does not support that law which means the majority of Israeli citizens is againt the law.

I suggest Ya’ll do your research regarding Palestinian politics which is much, much more hateful & fanatic towards existence of Israel and its Jewish population.

I don't understand people who think Palestine should just bow down and hand their land out "peacefully". I don't understand how you all normalize the situation so much. As if it's just a problem of "sharing".

You misunderstood this conversation or did not read the entire thing. I NEVER once stated that Israel has not provided a two state solution at all so no Woolfsmck was not right :laughga: Woolf stated that Israel has never laid claims on all of Jerusalem and I provided documents of the Nation State Law that was passed that states it currently does lay claims on all of Jerusalem. This debate was not about whether or not Israelis agree with the Nation State Law nor was it a debate on whether or not Israel has offered many many times a two state solution (which as I stated in one of my responses it has)...it was a debate in regards to a false statement which I debunked. So if anything before coming in and making strong worded replies please do read the full argument being made to understand the content of the discussion. :huntyga:

Abbas said that it was the Jews fault for the Holocaust, this has nothing to do with geo-politics, it’s pure antisemitism. Israel derserves to exist, so does Palestine.

Good grief :saladga:

Everyone arguing about who should have Jerusalem, they should stick to the original UN plan where neither of them have it. Jerusalem should be independent or shared.

Is there no room for negotiation? There surely could be a shared secular state where no religion is dominant

Antisemitism cannot be justified, I'm Jewish, I'm just saying that it's not black and white. Israel isn't good and Palestine's bad, it's more complex than that

Also, people need to learn the difference between antisemitism and antizionism

Of course it’s more complex, but it goes vice versa. Israel isn’t bad and Palestine isn’t goo good.

Antizionsim and antisemitism goes hand in hand.

Antizionism and antisemitism are completely separate

I'm extremely antizionist and yet I'm part Ashkenazi Jewish

Many Jewish people are anti-zionists so you can't really say that antizionism = antisemitism

This, according to a study released on Tuesday by the Amcha Initiative, a watchdog that seeks to investigate, document, educate and combat antisemitism on university campuses in the United States.

The study explored previous findings by Amcha that faculty boycotts of Israel significantly increase the likelihood of antisemitism on campus.

Recent research conducted by the nonprofit organization found that schools with one or more faculties that boycott Israel, were four to seven times more likely to have acts of anti-Jewish hostility, and the more faculty boycotters on a campus, the greater the likelihood of such antisemitic acts.

The link was identified repeatedly in three separate studies conducted over two different calendar years.

I can have my opinion but if you're calling me antisemitic then that's an extremely confusing point since I was practicing Jewish up until last month

Religion and state should be separate, there should be no Jewish state, just as there should be no Christian state or no Muslim state, governments need to welcome everyone, not just one religion
