She does not want to be seen as a singer doing a movie and a soundtrack album like Whitney in The Bodyguard. She wants to be seen as actress in a role with singing. She is not promoting the soundtrack album or performing the songs. She has pushed to keep the soundtrack version marked with dialogue and crowd noises so that it s literally impossible to extricate the songs from the film. This will all help her stay a serious contender for the acting Oscar. She will never promo a single from A Star Is Born. Just accept that. She has hits. She wants the Oscar and an acting career. Movies have a time period during which everyone's talking about them, for ASIB I think that time period has gone- obvs people are still talking about it but it's not as EVERYWHERE as it was in mid-October for instance. Grammy's producers will definitely want her to perform. She may be the only big pop star that's performing this year. Since general field is dominated by hip-hop except for her.
