I get her approach of releasing singles whenever she wants to, but there’s something to be said for releasing something with instrumentation that challenges today’s very basic norms, melodies that are allowed to marinate and somehow taken to the next level, and just an overall level of quality that makes a superstar a superstar. Or maybe I’m just an old fart that likes live drums and guitars and think they’re more powerful than computer generated beats... 🤷🏻♂️ For someone with a great vocal range, ability to harmonize really well and hit crazy notes, I think she is selling herself short. whateveradore 858 Posted December 14, 2018 Share Posted December 14, 2018 people need to understad that she is giving zero **** about pop "rules" she just released an album praised by the critics for being different and experimental , and she is doing this new album just for the sake of SHE WANTS TO, the production is way more chill, its supposed to be like it, she is just having fun and being able to release it whenever she wants to. She has grown so much out of her radio catchy pop songs intendeed to be a "hit". Y'all are expecting this from her and then don't get that so becomes judgmental about it.
