What Madonna has done for pop culture, especially for women, was incredible and amazing (after all, Gaga was inspired by Madonna), but Madonna isn't respecting other people either. Just because you are a "legend" and an "icon" in the music industry doesn't mean you can be rude to other people without having to pay consequences. Look, I like Madonna's stuff, but she's just bitter and angry that Gaga's getting all this positive attention now. Simple as that.

As for the fact that it was "obvious" that she [Gaga] ripped off Madonna's quote, I don't think it's all that "obvious." I don't know maybe it's just me, but I have a difficult time thinking that Gaga would actively search for a Madonna quote and just copy it. I'm sure Gaga's been told by her team and whatnot to emphasize certain points, but to me, she is genuine and authentic when she speaks about Bradley and ASIB. She's cried multiple times while talking about it. I don't think that just comes from her "stealing a quote." She has an emotional connection to him and ASIB and she wants to reiterate that.

I feel like her work is respected but she as a person is not... And honestly, respect is something you earn... And her actions made me lose respect for her an as human not all of it but most of it... And this is not just gaga thing there is a lot more... But I will never try and say that she is not a legend and I would never see not to respect her work and what she has done for pop music scene... There's a possibility that it could have been a joke, but given the history between Madonna and Gaga, to me, it seemed like shade. Could it have been a joke? I suppose it could have, but from my point of view, it was maliciously directed towards Gaga.

I also said in my original post that I like Madonna. I love what she's done with re-inventing pop culture (especially for women), and I love her music. People don't respect her as much as MJ and other people in those ranks, and I'm 100% sure it's because of her controversies with religion and sex.
AS for y'all....look, I've stanned Gaga since 2009 and I'll always be here for her, but the girl brings up Madonna more than Madge brings up her. Madonna made a joke last month and y'all were up in arms, but Gaga makes remarks about Katy coming from. a genuine place of dislike and you lot love it. It's favouritism, that's all.

2. While Madonna is a living icon, I do not think it is fair to say that her icon status is alive. What I mean is that she has failed to stay relevant because of her music; if you're reading/talking about Madonna, it is probably because she said something about Lady Gaga, is in another race-baiting Instagram controversy, or her latest album isn't doing well. 

I mean no shade, I'm only trying to speak truth. There are other "icons" that are/were treated much worse than Madonna (i.e. MJ before his death). I think Madonna gets the right amount of respect.

I don't know if you just stop reading my posts after you read a sentence you disagree with, but I have said twice now that I like Madonna, and I love what she's done for music, pop culture, and women, I just think her attitude can be a little too snarky. This also isn't just me who's thinking this. People have been saying this for decades! Elton John and Cher and two prominent examples of that.

This isn't just me being angry or anything all because Gaga might be nominated for an Oscar. Madonna's attitude has always seemed to be a problem. If you think I'm trying to put some "double standards" and shading Madonna or anything, that's on you.
