I think people overestimate how much of an impact fanbases have on the actual success of an album/single. Fans take up such a small percentage of who actually end up buying the product. The GP will buy a song they hear and like, and buy an album if there's multiple songs they like. Her success moving forward will depend on the demographic she wants to cater to right now and how well the promotion is handled.

The fan base yes will be here for whatever, but if the gp doesnt have a clear idea of Gaga it limits her success to her hardcore fan base

he is pointing out some interesting facts but y'all are throwing shade

i agree with your point

Every single time someone criticises her management, they go off like it’s an insult. It’s just constructive criticism, from a fan who at the end of the day wants her to be on top.

I somewhat agree. Her success for the ASIB era has been incredible, but in terms of music I miss the classic Gaga. C2C and ASIB soundtrack are great, but not what I listen to on a daily basis. I get the image Gaga is persuing, however I think it’s pushed by her label a bit TOO early. Don’t age her out 10 years in, if that makes sense.

It's just some thoughts. I still love Gaga and will stan even if she's an indie artist, but a mainstream pop star must also be a brand to succeed, and Gaga's has become a bit messy, and it's prevented her from reaching the masses like she did initially when her brand was so concise, consisten, well-known and well executed.

Now with ASIB she is reaching the masses more than before

She has just many sides on her artistry. Don't put her on a box. There's not such thing as a "classic sound" for Gaga, and that fact is more than clear today.

Every single time y'all criticise her management, it's based on YOUR opinions and not real facts.

How did the Troy Carter managed era go? It was a total mess. BTW ended with a mess and ARTPOP was worse.

And fyi, the approach is called diversifying your audience. She's 32, not 22. All those other pop girls will fail to catch on after 30 something, except Adele and maybe Taylor or Rihanna. But the others will flop like a melting ice cream.

Really, u have Katy Perry if u need an artist doing the same thing for 10 years. If u miss "classic gaga" go and listen to her previous albums. :saladga: Its not that hard. She likes to evolve, its not something new. With Internet u can go and listen to Born This Way on repeat all your life if u want.

Except that's blatantly false. Gaga's biggest hits are all electronic synth pop with stuttering. That's classic Gaga and the gp will agree. I think with Shallow she's proved she can get a hit outside of those, but the classic Gaga sound is a thing.

The "classic Gaga" is gone. She'll have some minor moments and references of that in order to keep the older (as in became fans earlier) fans satisfied, but overall that persona is gone. Her mindset and priorities have changed.

If we’re getting technical, she’s putting herself in a box today by placing certain limits to come across as a more ‘serious’ artist when those of us who were fans from the beginning know that it was clear as day since many years ago. All she needed was this kinda management with the content of previous eras.

I'm not asking for that, I'm just wondering if Gaga should've found a way of organically aging the Gaga brand without a complete overhaul of her image. Could Gaga find a way to make CrazyGa work in 2018 as opposed to a abandoning it? It seems we might see with lg6 era. :excited2:

Read my previous response. The content during those eras was more interesting, but I think the managing was terrible. It’s not that deep honestly, lol.

Tbh I hope we end up getting no pop songs anymore. Out of 6 albums, 3 of them are pure pop-electronic. We don't even deserve her doing pop. :interestinga:
