No offence but who still buckles up everytime in the backseat anymore? :triggered:

Me and literally every single person I know? :triggered:

Maybe it's a cultural thing too though, i've travelled to places where people don't seem to care, but literally just looked up the stats in my state and 97% of people wear seatbelts and those who don't are more likely to live in rural areas.

I personally find it really weird to hear people say they don't wear seatbelts... It's such a small, normal, habitual part of life. It's like hearing someone say "No offence but who still ties their shoelaces together anymore?"... like anyone with lace-up shoes? It's a part of wearing shoes like that... I wouldn't think twice about tying my shoe. I don't think twice about putting on my seatbelt.

Do people on Twitter just *** their pants when they lecture some person who is never going to see their self-righteous tweet threads?

Pretty much, yeah. :ladyhaha:

We only buckle up in the front seat, of course, but no one cares about the back seat :triggered:

It's somehow weirder to me that there are people that buckle up in the front, but for some reason don't in the back :triggered:

It’s not.

Babyseats go in the back due to airbags.

http://www.ncsl.org/research/health/state-seat-belt-laws.aspx

'Riders in the backseat do not have to wear seat belts after a certain age. Passengers can ride in the back seat without wearing seatbelts ranging from age 7 to 18, depending on state law.'

Now if you wanna be extra, then sure go ahead...but we can't judge people who don't want to when all of us continue to do even more stupider things everyday :huntyga:

That's not a health recommendation, it's U.S legislation that's specific to certain states...

It's just really weird where I'm from, It's an automatic reaction for people here to put their seatbelts on. The idea of having different rules depending on where you are seated is just bizarre too considering it doesn't change physics...
