Mark said about Gaga that she loves her fans so much that [even if she went into a different direction with the record] she still wanted her fans to be content and added some hooks. Most likely, he was a talking Dancin' In Circles. It's not like Joanne is the usual Lady Gaga album, it had indie influences and was risky even with PI in the form that we got. Idk...I think reading between the lines and seeing what we got from 5F2 about the process, what Mark is saying here seems more PR-ish than totally transparent. I think in some Born This Way era Gagavision she spoke about how important it was to "honor your vomit," meaning it's important for an artist to honor whatever happens during the initial creative process.
