mess I just wrote an essay I guess I have a lot to say about features cos they so often get trashed when they actually enhance a song/album or get overused and end up overwhelming the artist itself a la Calvin Harris' latest album (and DJ Khaled I guess but I'm glad we keep the actually Khaled-ness to a minimum :emma:)

I love my good sis Charli XCX but her latest mixtape Pop 2 is the prime example of a project having way too many features. Some of them are genuinely great and introduced me to new artists, but when you go overboard with collabs it can get annoying and some of them are unnecessary. (aka Jay Park in Unlock It)

I'd say 2 features is the perfect number.

Mess, I'm illiterate. Let me try to be on topic a little more.

I think including one artist as a feature more than once on the same album can get a little repetitive. As much as she's a problematic and messy figure with very questionable opinions, I'm sure that the Azealia Banks collabs for ARTPOP were great, but including only one of them on the album would've been enough. Or, like you said, just make a collab album.

I mean I find it really predictable that Ariana and Nicki continue to feature each other in their records but if Gaga did that with Beyoncé I wouldn't complain lol I'm DYING for that to happen honestly

Edit: Not in one album though... Just like the case with Ariana and Nicki! I mean I want more music from them but I'd rather have a nice album tracklist that isn't tainted with the same feature artist in loads of songs in a row

Henri Bardot

A la Lust for life.

That's why I don't really like that album and feel that is really overrated.
