my problem is that they are changing things, like Rafiki's fruits became a herb, is in necessary?

Also, this young generation needs to learn about our nostalgia and our old movies, it's only like 20 years, not a long time.. it's like saying that our classic didn't survive the time... when we were kids we watched Snow White without a problem and it was in 1937, 51 years before I was born.. they are just spoiled and used to the over-used CGI and 3d.. time to come back to the old beautiful animation.. better be hand drawing..

It must have been hard watching The Jungle Book, Christopher Robin & Beauty & The Beast then. Changing small things really shouldn’t have you bothered like that. Also, if you look at the movies Disney chose for live action, I would remind you that they started with older Disney classics like Alice & The Jungle Book. They’re choosing films that are safe investments. I’m sure you know TLK was a box office juggernaut.

Also, I think you misunderstood my point. The old classics like Snow White and Pinocchio are no longer culturally relevant  when the film studio is busy making sequels to the likes of Forzen. I see no reason why the live action films would not also generate new interest in the animated originals (although, I do not have access to sales information to confirm that).

Finally, you and I both know that animated films like the old way are costly & potentially dangerous investments given the film industry today. So they make more calculated risks these days in terms of animation (what they should really do even though it doesn’t make business sense is to bring back the old animated tv series like Timon & Pumbaa, Pooh & others).

I don't understand the need to remake already perfect pieces of cinema. Remakes only work if you can improve upon an already flawed original film.

Some stories are worth retelling

Honestly is it THAT important if it’s fruit or herb? That just sounds ridiculous and this is better way to introduce young generations to those movies because kids like CGI and it helps them imagine that it’s real life and not just some cartoon.. I’m sure they’ll see the original one but this is the right way to do it nowadays.

Yeah because it's part of the character, it's like remaking BR video without the bathtub and changing it to a shower, it's a little detail but this detail is part of the whole heart and body of the project... I watched this movie thousands of times through my childhood, is really define me childhood so I have an emotional connection to it 20+ years later..

But why can't we make them fall in love with animation? this is how Disney became Disney after all..

I liked only B&TB actually, because Emma was wonderful, but I had many problems with how the beast was designed and many other characters.. they lost the thing I fell in love with them, they became too real and lost their spark..

They are very much culturally relevant and will always be, they are iconic and part of the worldwide culture..

I really don't see any reason why CGI and animation can't co exist and why the young generation wouldn't love it too.. you simply need to teach them to love..

My nephews loves the original Jungle Book and slept during the remake because they found it just real, like watching NG channel lol

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I find it all a little redundant and calculated on Disney's part, but that's just my opinion. Investing in more original ideas would be appreciated.

Looks cool but doesn't really feel like a disney movie to me, just realistic CGI animals. The original has that disney "look". I guess we'll see. :vegas:

There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.

I actually liked Simba, but im sure once he talks it's gonna miss spark in the eyes

Anyhow this makes no sense, there's only animated characters...is this even called a live action??? Like do Pinocchio, King Arthur etc

or dont do none, better even
