Really? To me I fell in love with how free and open she was back then. She had balls and never seemed to give a **** what others thought of her and her art. Now a days it all seems so coordinated, I think it’s because she wanted to clean up her image for the acting community/Hollywood. I love her either way but sometimes I feel she’s very careful with what she does now. Like back in 2014 she talked about how gender fluid she was and how her sex and gender meant nothing to her art/identity. Now she seems to care more about those sorts of stuff, probably after realizing how important it was to Hollywood.

yeah but she's not 20 anymore, people grow up and now she's way more mature and I can understand that it doesn't please everybody but it honestly makes me love her way more and I would feel uncomfortable if she went back to vulgar attitude etc

dressing up ugly just to be dressing up different and be weird. make no mistake, her grammy 2011 look is weird but not ugly, its weird on it own and kinda iconic. youd know what i mean if u were during the btw era. the ugly huge fake mole and make up and clothes that made no sense.

But it wasn't "just to be different and weird" - it was an attempt to broaden the GPs mind, to challenge the idea of what us ugly, what is cool? Sure she didn't do anything groundbreaking, but to the GP (which includes me) it was new and groundbreaking. At that time I'd never seen anyone dress/do makeup the way she did. And she really has changed my perspective - things that I previously thought were ugly (alien, exaggerated features, weird hairstyles, androgyny etc...) are now looks that I love to see. Thanks to her bringing these looks to the mainstream, I (and many others) am now much more open to interesting underground artists who present themselves in far more ugly and weird ways than Gaga did.

-Obviously fake and cheap looking eyelashes and bangs from The Fame era

-The "any promo is good promo" mindset and getting bashed by everyone on the ARTPOP era

Tara.

And inviting kids on stage.

Why does everyone hate Tara? Wasn't she responsible for most of the BTW looks, i.e. Gaga's best makeup?

That was Billy Brasfield.

According to Gagapedia it was Tara... Billy seems to have stopped working with her during the BTW single phase, then Tara did the majority of the era.

But Gagapedia isn't exactly the most reliable so can't be sure lol.
