What Dealt the Final Blow to the BTWB/ARTPOP Documentary?

For those who don't know, in 2012-2013 Lady Gaga was working on a documentary about the BTWB and her artistic vision with her visual and music at the time. Essentially meaning that it would also be documenting ARTPOP's creation. It was being directed by Terry Richardson.

In the thread asking about when Applause was recorded, it mentioned that this concept demo for Applause was recorded for the documentary as well as for ARTPOP (Obviously.).:

So what dealt the final blow?

Was it her old management leaving her?

Was it her moving to a new team?

Was it the allegations revolving around Terry Richardson?

I think all the projects under Troy Carters name were scrapped after he left/ was fired

The hip injury, tour cancellation, the painkillers/marijuana addiction, the depression, the new management... So many reasons imo

Basically anything under Troy's management was halted or cancelled

Terry Richardson was still asked to direct DWUW later so I dont think we was an issue at that time

It was also rumored her hip surgery was recorded but again...part of a project now cancelled

I think had Troy stuck around...we would have had the documentary, ACT II, the APP, and a promo campaign for Eau De Gaga...

While the era may have ended up being positive for her overall, she probably doesnt wish to see it over again.  

 

Or it may be used for footage in an eventual box set.  Time will tell.

Considering she was still working with Terry in 2016 I’m guessing it wasn’t because of him. Also, Gaga was still planning on releasing ACT 2 even after her split with Troy so I’m not sure if it had to do with him either. I think once she started really recording CTC she wanted to push the ARTPOP era behind her because it turned out to be such a hard time in her life.

There's vague proof of at least some footage, as shown with the leaked DWUW footage (mostly clips of her during the final leg of the BTWB, where she was already getting more and more sick, transported via wheelchair, etc), and also that one BTWB show in Europe where the power went out and it showed Terry filming while Gaga killed some time with the audience. To what extent they filmed, though, not sure.

It's probably all ready but she chose to just move onto other projects and leave ARTPOP behind because she wasn't too happy about the era in general. Honestly, I would do anything to see this documentary and to have ACT II. I think it would have been more raw and real than Five Foot Two. FF2 was still very glamourous and more of a making of Joanne, Superbowl prep.

It was suppose to be released during the ARTPOP era but when Troy left her, she decided to cancel it as it was too.painful and sad

They are saving it for the extensive ARTPOP documentary that will be released on its 30 years anniversary.
