ARTPOP2

I ADORE ARTPOP. However, I won't call it experimental, just a pop star getting a little out of her comfort zone. Dead Petz was experimental but I don't know if I can qualify it as artistic. Heck, idk what/how to qualify as artistic.

I haven’t heard DeadPetz so I can’t really say but from what I’ve heard in this thread it was recorded without anything said from her label so I guess its pretty artistic, but honestly ARTPOP is just better imo

✨oh the lights dim while we’re dancing yeah the floor is shaking in this disco heaven✨

I took ARTPOP more seriously than whatever self produced album Miley tried to release while acting a mess for promo...

ARTPOP is less experimental BUT the era and artistry surrounding it is more complex and thought out

The actual music is more experimental in Dead Petz tho.

Those are actually my 2 fav albums of all time :flutter:

Damn, some great argumented posts in here :queenga: I'm surprised/impressed lol :vegas:

I think ARTPOP was more artistic. It had a storyline and a vision that felt like it could be analyzed meaningfully. Dead Petz was pretty hollow tbh. Just an attempt to make a stereotypical weird hippie album. It didn't come together and it won't survive.

Dead Petz wasn't made as a GP record though, it was literally a personal project that she released for free to her fans. Can't say something didn't come together that wasn't taken seriously from the start.

So you're saying she didn't take that personal project seriously? I beg to differ. I think Miley really wanted to create something special and unique. And she definitely succeeded at that, I just think it should've been better.
