LeJudas 6,490
She's acknowledged her self contradiction before. And she never said you have to do anything. She was supporting self love and that means if you need to take control or change something about yourself in order to love yourself then that's the best thing to do. She only opposes it when it's done to please everyone but the person doing it.
FfFfFfFF 54,014
She also wasn't born with blonde hair, smokey eyes or red lips. Born This Way message is not literal.
hausofcy 20,099
Didn’t she once say during btw era that she wanted to implant the horns and shoulders? thats plastic surgery too. The message is more about being happy with yourself mentally. More like “Yeah I like plastic surgery and i’m not changing my opinion for u so deal with it” or something like that. Dont shoot me if i’m wrong about the implants tho

GypsyBabe 22,836
Gaga also said that she defines her own beauty for herself so... I think BTW is expressing yourself freely...If she wants the epione then we should just accept that. I also think that the spasms in her face make her need the botox. Imagine having to get botox just to live comfortably. The fillers are probably to offset some of that. ⚯͛

It’s about embracing whatever the hell makes you feel like a superstar. I mean even the whole born this way video is her wearing prosthetics and fake skull tattoos Not her with no makeup and brunette hair. I feel like whenever people bring up born this way about her cosmetic procedures they are missing the whole point of that album. Weird though they never mention it about her blonde hair. @Admin or @Haroon, this should be PINNED. if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

Fernster7 7,844
How could Born This Way message be that when she spent half of the ****ing era looking ugly as hell with those fake prosthetics? We have two selves. One the world needs us to be, compliant, and the shadow. Ignore it and life is forever suffering.

Please spare me from even more WPs I just mean.. the message of Born This Way is that, you were born this way and you should have pride in yourself. Does anyone else feel a little betrayed that Gaga changed her face in 2015, after everything BTW stands for? I didn't feel like that because one of her messages is "you can be whoever you want to be". So it's ok if she wants to change things about herself. It's like, the power of defining your own self (both inside and outside) it's only yours. Don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch, just drink my ****ing coffee and watch 90's cartoons and hush

It's about staying true to yourself, not changing things about you for other people, if you want to change something about you that makes you unhappy it's your right, she's getting these procedures because she likes them. Exactly, plus she had Rick Genest in the video and he was obviously not born with those tattoos. I don’t understand how fans keep misinterpreting the meaning of Born This Way, it is not a hard concept to grasp.
