When something or someone not meant to be yours, it won't be, no matter how hard you tried to make it happen. Beyonce got her twins which make her happy, and super successful Coachella after that. I get beyonce was attached to it way back when but why do people have to unearth it. I dont know if Beyonce is a good actress or not but one thing's for sure, the soundtrack wouldn't be this great without Gaga's songwriting and voice. Bradley 59,163 Posted November 11, 2018 Share Posted November 11, 2018 I love Beyonce and she is the only female vocalist that I think could pull off I'll Never Love Again (she couldn't write it though ) I do not think Adele or Taylor Swift or Katy Perry could properly perform the way Gaga did with A Star Is Born. However, I cannot imagine Beyonce playing an ingenue character that is Ally. Even if she stripped all her makeup and beautiful gowns, she would still look like an established female star. Sinking into personae is what she is best at more than anything else. All of her outlets are vehicles for her theatrics. Beyonce, by contrast, is not that. That's not a slight, but it's just not how she operates. She doesn't really sink into different personas in the same way. She is a shy person who exudes power and strength even when she's weak. Gaga is comfortable with vulnerability, something needed for acting and particularly a role like this. Beyonce is not as comfortable with it imo and that's fine. She isn't the strongest writer or even really a writer at all (without tons of help), and I have a hard time seeing her in the role. Again, it would be a totally different take if it was her. The relationship with Bradley's character is so genuine and believable. Beyonce could have never had that kind of chemistry with Clint or Bradley for that matter. Besides she isn't the musician or songwriter Gaga is. Bradley's version with Gaga was a slam dunk. Bey was too busy putting her hubby on blast with Lemonade. She obviously needed to do that record and I imagine it would take all her concentration in the process.
