It went number one, sure, but that's probably just stans+people in their 30s/40s listening to radio and stuff:laughga:
Her last real hit here was Marry The Night or Applause
Yoü And I fully flopped, but all the other Born This Way singles were huge.

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying how it is.

Your argument would make sense if it was a fad top 10, she was #1 for two weeks, prior to that, she was two weeks in the top 10, rising each week, and this week she only dropped one spot, due to Ariana

One month in the top 5 is not the sign of a song that is "probably just stans" - on top of that, radio has little influence in the UK, she has been top 3 on streaming for the past 8 days

I don't think gaga can have the stability she's having on uk  streaming with just fans though:triggered:

It's slaying there. Stop living under a rock

Imagine having 5 weeks inside the top 10 + blocking one of the UK's biggest acts (LM) from getting a #1 bECaUse oF StAnS!!!!!!

I listen to NRJ everyday and... it's nowhere near to be a hit

I listen to NRJ everyday too and I hear it quite frequently. Not all the time but quite frequently.

It's often played on Virgin radio and chérie FM! :)

1.I didn't say just stans
2.my point in all of this is that charts=/=relevncy/a hit.
It went number one, but I'd compare it to Live Your Life by T.I and Rihanna or Check On It by Beyoncé. They went number one, but do people know/remember them? Not really.
It's not a bad thing. I mean, for a song like Shallow, that's impressive.

Well the song came out a while ago is too soon to say if it will last or not.

Is not a ultra smash hit but it has the movie and that is like promo forever, i hope it can stay relevant for a long time, and if not well ... that happens.. :huntyga:

Gurl today I was in Germany on a road trip, and in a lapse of 2 hours they played Shallow 3 times and ARUTW twice.
