I also seen beautiful pictures. My mom is actually from there. She was born in Pico and then lived in Terceira for a few years But everytime I go to Portugal I go to the mainland to visit friends and family I knew from when I lived there so I haven't had a chance to go to Azores yet I'd love to one day But my grandparents are old and not in the greatest health. Until they pass away when I go to Portugal it will be to stay with them and I'll keep visiting places within a reasonable distance of Coimbra (close to the area I was from and where my family is) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

HEARTSTOP 3,152 Posted November 11, 2018 Share Posted November 11, 2018 She would definitely hit the notes, but if she didn't perfect her Portuguese accent (which is VERY difficult for germanic language speakers) then it wouldn't sound authentic, which is one of the most important things when singing Fado. So my guess is, she would need like 3 months of vocal training, and like 2 years of accent training.
