omg she has not been relevant or "HUGE" as you point it for donkeys years what are you smoking :sharon:

Because she took a hiatus. You are very delusional if you don’t think Cheryl is HUGE, she is the UKs darling and the minute she performs this on the X Factor you can expect a hit.

Oh honey, why is she #1 ahead of Little Mix and Rita? And has had more longevity. Oop.

What are you talking about number one? Lol She isn't number one on the UK charts I dunno what chart you're thinking about. Honey, your Queen sucks. :ladyhaha: Imagine being that basic that you love Cheryl Cole :saladga:

Can you stop? The bitterness is real. She was #1 on iTunes, but has since dropped to #2, ahead of Shallow. on top of that she had a decent Spotify debut and her streams have increased on yesterday's 24 hour total. You sound like one of those middle aged Daily Mail readers who frequently insult people in the comments section and it isn't a good look sis :huntyga:

Her last album only peaked at #7 and has sold barely more than 60,000 copies in the UK to date. She only got the 2 #1's from that album because the first one was on pre-order for 3 months (a system that's no longer in use) and the second one was on preorder for a month, performed on XF on its release week and had a second clean version available which the fans also bought (another system which is no longer in use). You only need to look at the YouTube views and likes of those videos to know that those #1's were based on manipulating the system and sheer luck. This was also just after streaming had been introduced and before it really took hold and Cheryl will not survive in this modern market which relies on heavy streaming to chart well. Oh, and her last single from that album didn't even chart once it was officially released. The failure of that album is the whole reason why she was dropped from Polydor and has to re-sign with 3 Beat, which is a small Liverpool based label which only has a bunch of has-beens on its roster and whose only #1 hit on their label was from 2011. No big name label wants to risk taking her on anymore when they realised that she needs all the help she can get to achieve a #1 and even then, there's no interest in her album. Plus, she's 35 and a mother now, she's no longer cool with her main demographic and all her old Girls Aloud fans have grown up and moved on. If she's such a success, why has every album of hers sold worse than the last? Why is it that she's released 4 solo albums but has only ever done 1 tour? Which didn't even sell out? You're really going to regret that comment about as soon as she performs this on XF, it's going to be a hit. Now she's started falling after a mere 2 days of sales, there's nothing to help her now. Just look at the views and likes the video's getting to tell you how little people give a toss.

Little Mix released their single 4 weeks ago and its success has peaked and Rita's single was released 7 weeks ago and has also peaked yet is still holding a very respectable #7 itunes position. Of course the older the song is, the lower it will be on itunes, usually. Cheryl, on the other hand, just released her song 2 days ago and already its fallen to #3. You've clearly used fan bias to see what you want to see on this one.

She's now #3 and still dropping and only after a mere 2 days of release. Streaming, even if good, will not help a position like that. You only need to see how little people have actually watched the video to know that this won't be a hit. I knew this would happen. Everyone did. No one cares about her anymore. @destinyofself is basing their opinion on reality, you are not. To compare it to DM commenters is just to deflect from the truth which you clearly can't take.

Imagine coming for someone for liking an artist when us Gaga fans get grief all the time for liking her. A very embarrassing childish post.

Also, number 1 on iTunes, you know, the chart this community gloated about nonstop for Shallow? And that’s after a 4 year hiatus after her “flop era”.

I’m well aware LM and Rita’s releases aren’t brand new and that they have peaked, but I’m giving credit where it’s due for Cheryl getting to the top after such a long hiatus. And I haven’t used fan bias, seeing as I am a big fan of LM and Rita. You’re really embarrassing yourself with this essay full of figures and stats when the consensus with the “GP” (you know, people who barely even know what a chart is) is that she is loved in the UK. And I’m not going to “regret” anything, honey, I’m not that wrapped up in every sale and figure, which your life clearly depends on.

Staying on top for a mere 2 days isn't anything to be proud of. There was no competition for new material this week, so the songs that overtook her have already had at least one week of sales behind them. Yeah, my essay full of "figures and stats," aka facts, are somehow offensive to you, yet you claim not to use fan bias. And where on earth did you get this claim that she overall loved in the UK? Seriously, show me a poll on that one because everyone that I've spoken to for the last few years says she can't sing for toffee, she should never be on a programme that involves judging singing ability and she should quit trying to restart her career because her 15 minutes are over. Oh, and the public have never forgotten LooGate in case you were unaware. Face it, you believed that the media hype of her being the nation's sweetheart was actually something that the GP believed when in actuality, the name was gifted to her by the media and it never stuck. She has done nothing to warrant that label and you really make an embarrassment of yourself when you use it a decade later when she's well and truly over in the eyes of the public. She's just had another bright red update and fallen another 500 points, getting closer to #4 by the hour. Clearly, you do wrap yourself up in every sale and figure, seeing as it's what you based your first post on. If you want to use that line of thought, I'll actually use factual sales and figures to counteract it. If Cheryl is so well-liked, why has her video only got 654k views in its first 2 days? And only 13k likes vs. 4k dislikes? That is not the result of someone who's well-liked, no matter how you try to spin it.
