ARTPOP was a rebellion, a celebration of music & pain exploding in pop music. This album is freeing the most for me.

I always thought it was about putting the Warhol back on the soup can ...

like taking what everyone thinks about her (sex, drugs, fashion, dance, abuse) and feeding it back to the public.

She is the soup can, the public/media created the soup can painting, and she just put the painting back onto the soup can.

I truly think this was her idea .. but it took so long and so much happened that even she didn't know what she meant anymore lol.

I believe the original concept was cohesive, but the label made her change some tracks "we want a ballad" is a good indicator of that.

I think the theme of ARTPOP is that of travelling far and wide.

Planets and God's have the same names, but I read a long time ago that the Greeks described planets as travellers. This would explain Aura, Venus, ARTPOP, GUY & Gypsy... possibly more but I think those were the original tracks of ARTPOP before the fùckening.

God's & Planets & travel. That pretty much covers ARTPOP.

Venus was written last, a couple months before the release, and that's the most Godly/Planetary song so I don't think she was going for that theme originally.

I don't think she had an original idea, she was asking LMs if she should do Act 2 etc so it seems as if she had a concept but just couldn't execute it fully.

I honestly don't think Gaga knows what AP is anymore.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
