Ariana Shatters the Global AND US Spotify Record on her Second Day

The Spotify charts updated this afternoon with the official second day numbers. And they were indeed bigger than Arianas first day. See below for a better explanation:

This puts Ariana at both #1 in the US and Globally in terms of biggest streams in a 24 hour period. 

Mariah was previously #1 globally with 8m streams for AIWFCIY

Taylor had the #1 in US for LWYMMD, which amassed around 3.7m streams in its first day. 

Perhaps what is most impressive about Ariana beating Taylor, is that she done it on her second day. On her first day, she narrowly missed out. Making “thank u, next” occupy the #1 and #3 spot of most streamed female song in a 24hr period in the US

I really think is is all happening bc of her whirlwind romance with Pete + engagement + sudden breakup + controversy of the whole song with her naming all her exes and stuff 

But damn, her tweets get 300k likes each like... Ariana IS the It Girl rn. I wonder how long it would last

Well the song is based on scandal, she uses her exes including Mac to gaing coins  then cries that Pete is the one using the break up as headlines. Oh the double standard.

I think they are reffering to her first day, where she was supposed to do 8.1M but actually when the official numbers from Spotify came in it was 6.1M, so she's still behind LWYMMD.

I had read somewhere on here that the numbers weren’t adding up for Ariana 

Also LWYMMD was literally on fire when it came out as to where I’ve only hear of this new Ariana song here on GGD
