It's weird because I see only positive reviews from South Korea, maybe most people there just have  no interest in the story and the movie only attract a rather small audience in Korea

A korean celebrity vanished from the public eye once he came out. But he kept going and going and now he's super famous again maybe more than before (kinda like Ellen). It's sad but that's the reality

BR will probably outgross ASIB but that's kinda expected,  It's meant to have huge commercial success. Plus ASIB already outdid all the box office predictions for a R-rated music film and will surly have a bigger chance in award season

We shouldn't care that much about that film, given that there's no original song in it to compete in Oscars or charts

Actually the only thing they censored in Indonesia is the part where her nipple is clearly peeking. Sex scenes, her underb**bs, and that full frontal scene are still there lmao. And people seem to enjoy the drag bar scene very much too.

it's not really bots, but his fans changing vpn, he is super big in china and does have a huge fanbase.

Tbh the standards of what masculinity means are very different in South Korea. Make Up, plastic surgery, dressing well, going to the dermatologist twice a month at least etc. is a thing that is kind of expected of you in Korea, if you wanna be seen as a "good man, that takes care of himself and is desireable", just like... brushing teeth is in Western countries. Making extreme efforts to display outer beauty and well-being is not a trait that is stereotypically thought of as "feminine" in South Korea. But that doesn't mean that they don't have their issues with toxic masculinity, SK has one of the highest male suicide rates in the entire world

Thats really cool. I really love those scenes and Im happy if they survived to the unecessary censorship.

idk maybe they didn't promote really well there, i hope it doesn't flop on japan as well they are huge.

Now I understand why LGBT kids wanted to kill themselves when Trump was elected

There's a referendum in Taiwan about Same-sex marriage later this month, it's about if gay couples could use civil law to get married, those Christians started the referendum because they believe that as long as they exclude gay people from civil law heterosexual will remain to be superior 

Now they are spreading lies about LGBT and HIV+, and a lot of conservative people believe them, the situation is really frustrating.(and we are already the most gay friendly country in Asia)

I just want to talk about it when I saw you guys talking about how conservative Korea is, I even have suicidal thoughts recently, I just can't take all the hates from the society:(
