BawBaw 2,040 Posted November 4, 2018 Share Posted November 4, 2018 So I made an estimation on ASIB TOTAL spotify streams comparing Joanne streams : Joanne gained in the first month 136 mil spotify streams 1 month .......136 mil 12 m ..........x = 1.6 billion streams theoretically BUT we see that Joanne gained only 800 mil streams in 24 months. So if the first month of Joanne streams represents 17% of TOTAL streams , ASIB should go (VERY CONSERVATIVE) Total of 1.76 billion in 2 years ! ( can't say in 12 months because the rate of streams decrease is not constant so I can't just divide by 2 to have the first 12 months ) ASIB 1 month ........300 mil streams 12 ............y = 3.6 billion theoretically The album will definitely be her first album to cross the 1.5 billion streams barrier ! Discussions : The album has a chance of crossing the 2 billion barrier because : 1. The Spotify market is bigger now than it was in the first 2 years of Joanne . 2. ASIB is actually being pushed on Spotify ( multiple playlist ) but again can't say that this will make it go past the 2 billion because this fact is seen in the # of streams of the first month and that's where that 1.76 b number came from . 3. The decrease rate is very very big for Joanne tho' and I applied that rate to ASIB which is serving LONGEVITY . Conclusion : IF THE ALBUM GAINS IN THE FIRST 8 MONTHS 1 BILLION STREAMS THEN IN THE NEXT 14 MONTHS IT CAN GO PAST 2 BILLIONS . Tbh I am not getting the ppl who say that LG6 should drop when the residency starts. Why killling the momentum of ASIB when we know that this record still has potential and the longer we ride on the momentum the better it will be for LG6 because it can profit from ASIB with amazing first week sales numbers. Also it does not make any sense to drop an album around a time point when Gaga cannot promote LG6 as she has the residency and will focus on ASIB and its music during awards season by campaigning with ASIB songs..... Sales start increasing the last week of November until they triple the week before Xmas.
